That's got to be it. Like it's such a big deal to get water in your tires. It's called maintenance.

Lots of people are just plain ol dumb. I went on a trail run with some locals and a guy brought out his prized twin hammers in all its glory. A few nice parts but ruined by the 200 oz @ 3.93 sec servo, 20mm spacers and his insistence that aftermarket foam is a bad idea that doesn't change anything at all. Dumb.
I like seeing the guys running those Duratrax tires and the ultra soft foams that they come with, bashing the hell out of their fancy wheels on the rocks! Seen it more than once. In that case venting is not recommended! (Stiffer foams are however. lol)

I see it all the time on Facebook. People ask questions about tires and why their new tires suck and I always tell them "Vent your tires and buy Crawler Innovations foams." Had a guy a while back convinced his Pit Bull Rock Beast tires were garbage because they had a hole in them and were too soft. Told him to try some good foams before he throws them away and he posted that he bought the foams. I said that if he didn't like the new setup I'll buy it, tires and foams, and he never contacted me to sell so I assume it worked out for him.

you know there a reason why 1:1 tires dont use foam way back it the late 70s early 80s bikes had foam inside the tires it dident last for a reason there got to be something better out there for rc cars too a inner tube maybe kinda like the military uses or those internal beadlock systems that double as a tube maybe adapt that to rc

Staun Internal Beadlocks FTW. Ran them on my TJ, 35" MTR's. Phenom. Not sure I would want to fiddle with tubes in 1.9 tires though.
The CI Nova outers are so soft, and breakdown. The last few sets I've bought were medium and firm, working out well, just a little break-in, and then they squat perfect. They also tell you to choose diameter based on your tire internals, not external measurements, so my last set for a RB XL were 4.5's and they worked out great. Super easy mounting too.
If we don't vent out here and then drive to the high desert, the tire is ballooned, then squashed when you get back. An eighth inch slit with an xacto at 180* between the treadblocks has proven to work just great. If it doesn't vent quite enough you can pinch the slit and they open up, air releases or enters, and you're good to go.
Love my CI Novas and vented tires. "thumbsup"

i only vent my comp tires, all my trail and scale trucks i dont vent, cleaning out mud and water, etc is a pita.

Yea because 1:1 tires have steel and/or fiberglass reinforcements to handle the air pressure unlike an rc tire. Not everything directly translates between scales. There is no reason to fear what you don't understand.

I understand plenty, have no fear about that. I've ran sealed, all types of foam and vented. When performance is the goal sealed isn't an option whatsoever.
seal tires suck agreed but what if there was a kinda inner somthing other than foam that is tunable wont hold water and wont get flat spots and is still vented and still acts like duel stage foams

If such a product comes to market I'll give it a go to the best of my ability. I'm always up for a new challenge.

the thing is its always been there people are just to hung up on foam to try anything else
i would imagine that this wont work for comp rigs cause of the extra weight it adds to the tire
but for a scaler it will solve alot of issues with foams no more wet smelly foams that degrade in a few months then need to be changed or get flat spots
