1/6 Hemi powered Willys Jeep Hot Rod

Re: 1/6 Hemi upgrade **Update 5/12**

Thanks everyone.
I am patiently waiting on the water jet work. Getting it done for free so I can't really rush them. Hope yo get it back very soon so I can start on the front.

Re: 1/6 Hemi upgrade **Update 5/12**

Holy crap

That is definitely some King Cobra-esque fabrication work...

Re: 1/6 Hemi upgrade **Update 5/12**

Thanks Mike but I am no where near his talent.

Parts back from water jet, now I need to find time to work on it

Still need to be cleaned up after welding but it's getting there.

Re: 1/6 Hemi upgrade **Update 5/12**

Another small update.
Worked on the front lower "Y" links, boy did they kick mu butt. This was my first time using silver solder. Learning curve for me but I think they turned out pretty well,

Re: 1/6 Hemi upgrade **Update 5/12**

"thumbsup"Love the build mate, Looking foward to every update, what are you using for the airbags.

Re: 1/6 Hemi upgrade **Update 5/12**

Thank man, right now the airbags are just some old springs covered with heat shrink tube.
Once I get the shocks (in the mail) and set the height, I'll get a better looking bag.

Ha, ha - this thing is turning out AWESOME so far..!! I Love it - can't wait to see it finished..!! "thumbsup""thumbsup"

So are you gonna actually come up with a way to BAG it? Or will it be micro servos? (waits in anticipation hoping you'll actually bag it)

Thanks, right now on hold until I get the body. I am thinking I went too narrow up front and I need to verify that before I move on.

you could use the landing gear parts for a plain. they have air acuated rams. cover that with a fake bag. Looks sick man.

Right now I'm not sure. You need to draw the line between scale looks and scale performance. I am thinking I will just use mock bags right now. there is no room for micro servo mounting while still looking scale. We'll see what comes of it.

My wife say's I have problems when it comes to time and energy spent on various hobbies. You clearly have a sickness as many others seem to on here. Keep up with this awesome build, I look forward to seeing more progress!

LOL, my wife just shakes her head, never gives me crap about the time and has no idea about the money !!

I send out stuff every now and then and get stuff back so to her it's all trades.....PERFECT "thumbsup"

The chopped and lowered hot rods are awesome! Great work on this so far, the front suspension looks great and I like the motor inside the engine idea.
