Losi 1/10th Roller

nice truck. love the fit and finish. Mine also had a driveshaft floating around in the box, but all parts were accounted for and it was an easy fix. I was also short 3 of the servo screws for the dig servo, but the parts box provided those. I do wish that Losi had supported Futaba servos with a horn. I know they are the radio brand of Horizon's "enemy", but it sucked when there wasnt a nice aluminum horn included for my Futaba steering servo. My other Losi rides have always had molded horns in the kits for futaba servos, so why not at least a molded one with this truck? Luckily I had one that worked. All in all I'm extremely pleased with the truck and cant wait to hit the rock pile. Good work Rich and I cant wait to see what's up your sleeve next...

Quick word of advice check the set screws on your cvd's and drive shafts. I had two pins to fall out just running around the house. LOSI, LOCTITE IS CHEAP;-)

+1.... lost one pin after a minute driving...lucky I had some very old MIPs (10+ years old) lying around to steal a pin from.

Edit: Already was able to follow my super's lines on my rock course and had it almost rolled a couples times and saved it. Wife said I had to come in though cuz it's late.... lots of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same deal here... but once we get these little bugs out of them they will be top notch rigs. Losi will I'm sure make these things right once they have more input. No more than I've run it I can tell it's gonna be a good set-up out of the box. This dig is super smooth, best mechanical dig I've used.

Not to discourage but....... #537 And I ordered it yesterday, had it today by 10!!!!! Thats right, lots of luck........

You know that kinda luck and my driving this LOSI well.....

Who knows, Right?

Remember, I'm where you want to be!!!!

Dont hate, appreciate.......

THE LOSI CRAWLER!!!!!!

Can you tell, I'm just a little excited, I'll calm down now.

Losi Rocks!!!!

Just got the whole rig up and running. Here are the specs

4PK radio
8711 steering servo
Mamba Max with CC BEC
5425 dig servo
OG Warrior motor (35T) with 16T pinion (will probably go 18T or 19T)
3 cell lipo (25C continuous, 35 burst, 1500 mAh)

Seems okay, will get it out on some rocks tomorrow.

Got the 8711 in, Mamba Max and BEC wired up, 35T Warrior double in:twisted:, now it looks like I'm missing some screws in the kit! Uggg!!!! Time to dig in the screw box...... Looks like they may have rushed getting these out and forgot to put the extras in..... But overall it's coming together!"thumbsup" The 3c fit's nice!

Well ten hours and three burnt motors latter , I`m done with it till latter , didn`t even gety near a rock yet . 3s Li-Po , FXR and a 45t , 35t , and a 27t with pinions from 12t to 19t nothing seems to work . I`ll get it figured out sooner or latter just felt the need to vent .

What happened? How did you smoke 3 motors:shock:

My 45t didnt work either, Id go with what the team drivers suggest.

It sounds to me like a 35T with an 18T pinion, I hope it doesnt get as hot as my 45, burned the s%#$ out of me, drove great though while it was driving.
Doig a comp tommorow, hope it goes ok, have someone gonna hook me up with the right motor and pinion.

Other than that, WOO HOO this thing is BAD!

I`m asking myself the same questions , been in the hobby going on five years and never burnt one till today . the truck will drive around in the floor just fine with any combo but try to climb the wall or anything else it will stall the motor and puff, all three motors did that .

The 35 I tried was worse than the 45 with 14 , 15 , and 17 tooth pinions . Good luck , let us know how the 35/18 works out .

Sounds like some of the same issues the rock force guys were having. Rich touched on it earlier but make sure the worm gears are well lubed. Worm gears are pretty inefficent as it is. There is alot of sliding type friction going on with worm type gears and a lack of lube makes it much worse.

Alot of the kyosho guys ended up going with the high speed 15-1 vs 30-1 gears because of too much reduction in the axle.

There are alot of guys running these rigs it will get figured out soon enough. There may be more ppl running brushless than brushed when its all said and done.

what is the size of your 3s? I have 3 different brands and they are all slightly different in size.

Has anyone opened the axles to see if the worm drive gears have enough grease?? When I was looking at one yesterday one of the CVD pins fell out with that and motors burning up I would want to give it a good going through before running.
