Losi 1/10th Roller

Do you guys think Losi will do some minor change on this rig ?

I'm longing for the release date. "thumbsup"

Why are their about 15 screws on the bottom of the skid ?

It looks like the skid attaches to the chassis from the bottom, not the sides. It kind of looks like the skid is narrower, then the bottom of each chassis plate has an angle that goes in towards the skid. Hard to describe, but that is what I see. I almost envision a chassis plate that bolts onto the skid.

\______/

That is kind of what I am trying to describe, with the vertical plates and the angled parts being the chassis sides and bolting to the top of the skid. I could be completely wrong, but that is the only reason I could see having 12 screws on the bottom of the chassis. I also don't see any screws on the side of the chassis going into the skid.

Looks like my Axial is getting turned into another scaler...

I have always been a Losi fan, and they seem to be really stepping it up lately..

This looks like they paid attention, and are ready to crash the party.

I fully intend to pick at least one of these bad boys up, I just wish It came as a kit :-(

Every pic seems to show a little toe out on the front wheels. Hopefully that will change by production.

With the zero ackerman claimed, a li'l toe out will introduce some of the ackerman effect. I use it on my axialcar.

This thing does look really promising. Let us all bow our heads and pray for metric hardware.

I'm already liking it, it would take that much money to put some of the same things in my Axial. Hope I can afford to buy one without selling my Axial:-(

and clodstall

And don't forget buying 2 ESC's, Motors, battery packs, and if you don't have one already a 4 channel or more stick radio................

so it comes pre assymbled, just add electronics and go? That kinda takes some fun out of it, I like the build part of a rig but should be sweet none the less.

worm drives...

i absolutely dig it when i dont read anything about crawlers for awhile, it makes for some exciting catching up to do.

unfortunately, looks like 4-40, only thing I hate about losis...

I simply don't understand the fascination with the inferior standard hardware. Every other crawler on the market (that I know of) is metric. You'd think they'd make it as easy as possible for folks to switch to Losi. I could almost-kinda-sorta understand it on their 1/8 buggy with the thought of current 1/10 drivers switching to 1/8. But a 1/10 racer to a crawler isn't quite as natural of a progression and they could have done themselves more good by going metric and making it easier to lure some of the Axial/TLT/whatever guys their way.

Side note along the same lines while I'm ranting. Why in the samhill did proline use standard hardware on their beadlocks???? Surely they knew that almost every crawler is metric and the customers who'd be buying the things would have metric tools. Boggles the mind...

tips from the MRC

looks like the MRC was the testing platform for this 2.2. lowered CG, battery on the links, dig, everything the MRC guys have done to make it better they have done to this and then some. i am very impressed and want one.

spring time will be perfect for me to get one, the Minnesota winter will allow us to go drive.

very nice rig way to go losi i have had many losi's all the way back to the jr-x2 and this wont be any different im glad to see this come around. so i guess a.e. will be coming round the mountain in the near future

That is actually the effect of using a wide angle lense...our photo booth is a little limited on height and thus the toe out effect on the front and toe in on the rear. They are all straight.

Also you are right about the chassis plates. The are attached from the bottom. Then there are the 4 screws for the transmission and 4 for the small pivot (which can be removed without taking the transmission out of the chassis.

Ok, the standard screws were my call..keep in mind we make this decision early in the process. Guess I'm old school and I'm just used to the 4-40 stuff and went with it. Just one of those "DOH" things after it's to late. :)

Awwww, standard! 4-40 does hold in plastic better, deeper threads. But, everything else is metric and I couldn't even tell you where my sae tool kit is.
