Well I got bored and decided to screw off for awhile
So here you will find A TON of info about mods done to the trucks of the RCC community. Also There is listed some questions that are time and time again asked. If you ask a question and it is covered in this thread,we know you didn't take the time to do your homework.. So why should we take our time to help you? You need to learn to help yourself first, unless your just a spoiled little brat that was born with a silver spoon in your mouth
Anyway -
What truck is best for me?
It all depends on what YOU want. There are shafty trucks ( those that have a transmission and driveshafts ) and then there are clods ( which don't have the trans). Everything is basically located on the axles of the Clod, which seem to give it a better fight in comps. The clod, along with the TCS Extreme chassis ( The Stick ) is a very great combo for comps. It keeps it lightweight and the CoG (center of gravity) very low. The shafty trucks such as a TXT,Maxx,TLT,etc are a bit more to build, since you have more components to add and the "torque twist" to fight from having driveshafts.People say the shafty trucks are more "real" to build.. so once again, it is all up to YOU as to what you want to do.If your not into the big trucks, you can go with a 2.2 truck such as the TLT or you could put 2.2 rims on any other truck and make it smaller. The reason it is considered a 2.2 is due to the size of the rims.
Now here are some stickies that have been posted in each section for the truck. After reading these, they should have helped you decide as to which way you want to go.
Clods
TXT
Maxx
TLT
Also, each section has a "members rides" section in there to get ideas aswell.
What tire is best for my truck?
Very simple answer- we can't tell you. It all depends on the following- your terrain, your truck, your setup of your truck, the weight of your truck,etc.etc. The best bet is to ask others in your area as to what the run and find is the best. So don't make a post asking for people in the Oregon area as to what they like, PM people. Some of the popular tires are the Moabs,LST's,Giant tracs. More of the tires and sizes can be found here Tires
What can I do to my Nitro to have a good crawler?
Sell the thing!!! Nitro sucks for crawling. Those 2 things don't even go together in a sentence. Don't even mention that freaggin Revo video that Traxxas has  unless you convert your nitro over to electric, you are wasting your time
Are MM motors, the TF truck, among other things discontinued since TowerHobbies lists them as that?
NO! Just because Tower lists them as discontinued, doesn't mean they are. Once again, you should use that search button..Tower basically quit carrying Kyosho parts. You can try www.rc4wd.com or you can go with lathe motors

Now with all this in this post, I have just barely scratched the surface to the wealth of info that is on this board. There is A TON more info and this post could go on forever, but why should it? If people can't take some time to help themselves, why should anyone else take thier time to help that person?
So if you have trouble finding the "search" button, let me help you find it here http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/search.php?
You can even search the whole board and not have to go to every section and do seperate searches. Trust the members that have been around for a long time and tell you, The search button does work. I found all this info in less than 30 mins But for some reason, I feel I just wasted 30 mins, because we all know that people don't like to read
