Hillbilly's garage

Not very scale but turned one of the utb18s in the fleet in to a compy rig. Used an Intheworks rc chassis, class 0 BFG krawlers, stretched wheelbase from 9" to 9.75", added axial OD gears, brass knuckles, rear portal boxes and servo mount, treal link raiser and a conversion kit to use mini T springs on the stock shocks.
Want to get some UD gears, make some body panels for it and get the new fusion mini 16 to clean up the wiring.

Another project I've started is this, decided to use the ascent cab. Some meus portal axles with all the brass they make, believe the chassis is an Amazon G-speed copy with bed, Tusks on some bronze wheels. Still need to build/sort out the desert lizard shocks, install the newer side skids and mount the transmission to figure out driveshafts.

That looks awesome!

Got the shocks installed last week. I ended up going with shortest soft spring inside the shock the the longest soft spring under the piston. It gives like 80/20 droop.

Installed the new side skids. found and installed the artful dodgers ULV trans. Didn't realize that the outputs should be to the outside holes and not the center. Wish I realized that when I was swapping to the left hand motor plate. I'll fix it later when I install the motor I haven't decided on yet lol

Haven't done much lately.
Did start my mom's spaghetti project. put together the punks 3d mini stagedive chassis and have it to a roller. The dlux 80mm shocks look great. The +10mm hardcore rc links wasn't enough for the wheelbase needed for the Blackfoot body. So adjustments will be needed going to try longer rod ends first after I trim the fenders like the 1:1 so I can finalize the wheelbase. I have a plan to run Velcro body mounts off the side skids. Need to gather paint as well but not ready for paint yet.

Bought an IERC lay down transmission mount for the IFS mullet just to help lower center of gravity even more. Also have a rear set of rock pirates shock towers I've been debating on swapping in as well.

Decided on a different interior for the SE build. I'll find a different use for the gatekeeper interior I had planned on using. I picked up dinky rc universal interior in black for the SE. Need to shorten it maybe an inch and add some tan paint for the seats to add some color and contrast.

Need to get parts for other builds to continue them. My son wants a 1/10 now so I'll use the scx10 for him since it just need an motor or re solder the broken power wire to the motor that's in it. But I have a couple new motors laying around. He wants the Subaru brat body on it. So I'll paint it up in light blue that's what he wants. I have till new years day to get that finished for his birthday.

That's just a small update on the garage.

Here is the start of Mom's spaghetti, swapped the front rod ends to stretch the front enough a stock drive shaft is to short now. I think a dlux utb18 cut to length will have to do. Last picture is ride heightish where I would like it. The one before is with the body on sitting on the tires.

Finally added bumpers to the IFS mullet
These are proline scx10.3 bumpers. I saw them mounted with the coyote body and knew they were perfect fit sort of.

Rear bumper was an easy fix to get mounted. Slide the bumper in found no holes lined up exactly where I wanted/liked. So I used my pen/hand drill and made quick work at making new mount holes. These bumpers came with plugs/ shackle mounts to fill the holes in the bumper. I wanted a smooth look so chose the plug/flat look.

The front bumper I tried a scx10.2 deadbolt for a bumper but way too wide and stuck out to far for my liking.

The proline bumper was a better fit but, the bumper mount for the 10.3 wouldn't work. The posts were close in spacing but were bigger in diameter than the holes in the element bumper mount. Having enough meat around the holes I measuring it was close. So I decided to drill out the bumper mount holes to 5/16" drill bit and a little shaving afterwards. so the posts could slide in enough to get it tucked in and some screws to secure it. I think it worked out perfect and worth the work.

A while ago I had bought a 22r engine for a utb18 when I was planning on building a little single seat buggy out of one but changed plans. I had already painted it since it came in purple resin print. So I decided to toss it in my son's utb18.

I swapped the outputs on the artful dodgers ULV transmission and was getting an slop/gear bind after doing so. With the tolerances I was racking my brain to come up with a spacer to help. A tiny O-ring was digging into other gears. Then found some shrink and made a spacer with that. It has worked so far let's see after I add power to it.

I headed out to Lucia falls this morning before family stuff. Took the ifs mullet and lil compy. Pretty happy with how both performed. The ifs rig descends very well for the weight up front. Think the vanquish tire could use a different foam tho.

Did some more work on this truck. Trimmed the front of the body to fit better and not look hacked. Added the bumper that came with the chassis. Debating on trimming the chassis back so it's not sticking so far out there. Sorted driveshafts out. Had to replace the front one as my first order I ordered just a tad short. so full droop out it would drop the driveshaft. Now just need to sort a motor and esc. Might just cannibalize an old Everest10 for the motor if it fits believe it's a titan 550. I have a og hw1080 and pull the rx out of the scx10 that I'm building for my son since he'll get the spectrum slt3 I used in lil compy. I have a flysky gtb3 too I can use so everything running isn't on my radiolink rc4. I'll figure out something lol.

SOR racing had their exp performance kit on sale and I had been looking at picking up some of their stuff in the past so pulled the trigger on the kit.

The ifs mullet got the shock towers and battery mount

The link raiser and upper link mounts with be installed on the SE trail truck.
