Got my wraith kit sometime around December last year..
Fast forward to now and my interest was dieing . I'd done the mandatory mods. Tranny gears, steering and knuckles, lockers, and found most all mods after that un needed. I run a good amount of power with a 1/8 scale buggy power system 6s at times with paddles.

The wraith is tuff for sure. I beat mine more then most (hmmm that didn't sound right)

Fresh kit.

Quick update.

First coat of cat yellow

Looking at this pic I'm thinking I wanted another bar in the door. Also, didn't shed any eight in the frame belly because it crawls so well. Made some last minute changes on the nose just before paint so I can run a even lower ride height for crawling. Frame was hitting my servo mount just before shocks bottomed out.

Don't have any lexan. I scuffed up the lexan before giant the wraith kit panels. However I did not use primer

Bolted it together this morning

Wanted to see the primer under the battle scares like a 1:1.

Primer the interior and use the polycarbonate based paint on the exterior. It won't chip, but it will scratch off and rub off (from tires). That'll give the scale look you were shooting for.

ohhh your talking about the lexan.

I thought mine had fairly scale look after a few months. with the body panel mangled and hanging of and little paint left on it. ;)

tracking is now showing my gears out for delivery so ill do some bashing this weekend kinda wanting to hit some hills and sand

It is looking good Evan, now you need to get her fixed and bring it down here. Should be cooling off and we can do some crawling without dying of a heat stroke...

Yes. Still trying to decide what kV motor. 1900 or 2100kv.

Think I've decided the motor failed because it was full of sand ;)

Me to. I think it'll be slightly smoother and I likly won't notice it on 5 and 6 s.

Grrrrr watts on 5s 2100kv is specked at 2590. Off course the 1900kv motors what specs patent listed . Actually I bett it doesn't matter give or take 500 watts or so. ;)
Here's the 2100 kV motor

For those that care these motors look to be copies of the castle neu 1515 series
