As part of my cheap cheerful Chinese cheater build I bought some carbon/aluminium wheels from AliExpress.
All good except the hole in the middle is 7mm and my usual flanged nuts barely touch the sides.
I’ve seen some Traxxas hex/washer/top-hat nuts that would bring the fitting size up to 6mm diameter but the drive pin in the hex’s looks to be further out than would suit my Capra copy axles.
I like the top-hat nut idea (looks as though it would help align the hex wheel and nut) but it wants to be 7mm. Or a hex with a 7mm spigot on the outer face?
Any ideas?
