What the newest cheap servo hotness?

I just watched a YouTube review on the evo p2. One of the comments said that the servos are flawed and you need to shim one of the gears with a flat washer to get proper gear contact. Has anyone opened one up to see how the gears look?

I might need to now as something is stripped.

Not all that heavy, the tires do grab well. As I originally said not close to my Promodeler , this has maybe 300oz
I did get a return thru eBay so refund is coming .
I guess the Savox will work until a PM 420 shows up

but are you going to take it apart to shim it as someone on here said they recomended to adjust for gear play, or just run it till it dies ?
I missed that. I'll have to see if I can find it. If I had seen that I probably wouldn't have bought a servo. I want something that works out of the box not something that needs to be shimmed from the factory.

I found the comment, "their is a flaw with these only .2mm of the gold gear touches other gear u need to put a washer under it".

I'll get mine pulled apart and see what's going on.

Edit: is the top glued on? Lol, that top won't move with 4 bolts removed.

Do you have a link to this video?

Ya but his comment says the gear only touches 0.2mm which is wrong. But yes that gear is off just a little but since the servo gears are so tiny/thin, it doesn't help. I'll post up what size washer I use.
