Very quick and gets me out of holes I used to die in. Great torque, not as well built as the PM, but 1/2 price

It says production has ceased on the V4 and a new version is in the works.

I don't want to throw anyone under the bus, but mikemcE seems to have the inside intel with John and a solid business relationship, maybe he knows?
Any info on the on this model he's working on? V.5? Couldn't find a link. I guess I'll just keep my fingers crossed and pray he emails me back when they are ready. I'll keep checking the site. Thanks.

V4 is the new one he is working on. The difference being a brass bushing where the gear shaft rides in the housing (maybe other stuff too). I am patiently waiting for one too. I talked to John about a week ago and at that point he said a couple of weeks so it should not be too much longer.

I am done with cheap servos. IMHO you can't beat the quality, durability, and value of the promodler servos.

Yes, I'am patiently waiting as well. I've never been though so many servos. Ever since I got a crawler, there is quite a few in my parts bin. The highly acclaimed reveiws on here with the crawler crowd and with plane folks makes me say do it.

He seems to have the materials all figured out and in the right places, maybe he adds a little waterproofing to where he already knows its weak spot for seepage is, who knows? that'd be really innovative and customer oriented of him.. guess we'll have to wait and see what its all about!

What am i missing here? Ive had the same $30 metal gear hitecs for years and years across several trucks. What are you guys all doing to be killing servos so much and so fast? Ive got a 8lb scx10 with 4.75s and a rs10 with 5.5+ tires both with cheap hitecs and neither with any issues for the last 5 years.

Might be too much power, abuse and or great grip..
I've killed them usually by not setting EPs and catching them

Mine got warm, but not hot after an hour in the rocks. I could feel the difference between this and the Pro Modeler420.

I'm waiting for Promodeler a while. In a pinch, if I absolutely must, or if I build a second crawler from my leftover parts... I'll try either the P2, that crawler Power HD ($49.99 from BangGood), or the Power HD 23 WP.
