I was planning on building a comp/scale looking crawler. I'm using stock MAXX Shocks. What would be the best shock weight oil to use?

Josh

It really depends on how the shock reacts with the suspenion. I would start with 30 and go from there...

Would you really use oil that thin? Crawling is inherently slow-moving, and it doesn't seem that you need the shocks to react quite that quickly. Seems like you'd want a softly sprung / heavily damped setup.

true but tlt's are so light so light oil works better. i will be running 25wt

I run 30wt but I drive a clod, i have 30wt in the mall crawler project and it seems thin, but I am running really soft spring with almost zero tension on the threaded shocks.
