What powers your SCX10?

Novak Eiger Crawling ESC/Terra Claw Brushed Motor Crawling System Combo (35T), EcoPower "Electron" 2S Li-Poly 30C Hard Case Battery Pack (7.4V/5000mAh), Stock gearing.

SCX-10 stock 14/87 48p gearing

#1 Tekin FXR with Tekin 35T Pro Hand Wound, 3S LiPo, Great Planes 3A BEC, Futaba 9157 : crawls real slow and smooth & tops out at 5mph

#2 Novak Crusher ESC w Ballistic 18.5T, 3S Lipo, Castle 10a BEC, Futaba 9157 : crawls slow enough, tops out at almost 8mph. I pondering going to a larger rotor for more low end smoothness.

Turnigy 120a turbo esc - 30 degrees of turbo timing added around 4k rpm

21.5t yeah racing motor with 20 degrees of timing on the end bell.

Smooth down low and fast when turbo kicks in.

All on 3S 40C lipo

Stock JK gearing 20/87

Hey guys, just picked up my first crawler. It's a Honcho roller. I have a few RX8's and a Pro 4 4000 I'm not using. I was think of throwing the combo in and running it on 2s. What would a good stating point be for gearing? Don't care about going fast.

Pretty sure 12 tooth pinion is the smallest you can use with an 87 spur before you run out off adjustment.

F-150:
Holmes 35t TorqueMaster Sport
Holmes BRXL
Savox 0251MG
Spektrum DX2s
2s Team Great Hobbies lipo

Hummer (soon to be F-250 Super Duty):
35t with a Trinity Can and arm, Novak end bell and brushes
Traxxas XL-5
Axial AS-2 (still going strong with the bearing mod)
Spektrum DX2s
7-cell Onyx NIMH pack (2s lipo when it's a F-250)

I have the tekin 35t brushed crawling motor with the FX-r and run a Venom 2s lipo (5000 mah 30c) the best set-up for offroad like rocks and mud not really meant for actual rock crawling due to less torque. (use a 45t for that stuff):)

1st scx10 has a stock scx10 tranny with aluminum gears, a castle sidewinder sv3 with a 4600kv motor, my other scx10 has a summit 2 speed with another castle sidewinder sv3 with the 5700kv motor

In my new review Wrangler G6 i currently have

Tekin FXR
Castle BEC
Hitec 7955
Intergy 35t motor
Turnigy 2200 3s lipo

Soon to have a Holmes Crawlmaster sport when it wings its way this side of the pond

Going for a light weight rig but also want to keep it looking as stock as possible with battery location etc

Mamba Max Pro,10.5 Tekin Redline ( first gen.), On 4s ,32 pitch 8t pinion, 57t spur ,steel tranny gears, MIP's ,stock diff gears pulling 2.2 TSL Swamper SX's. It can crawl super slow, and still got plenty of wheel speed when I need it. As it sits right now, I have no complaints ......
