What did you do to your TRX-4 today?

Just finished up a refresh of my Defender.

I had cut the frame rails to mount my 79 F150 body and ascender cage. Decided I wanted a change from that setup.

Picked up a new Trx-4 Sport frame and links for dirt cheap and started the transfer/refresh.

So long wheelbase F-150 to short wheelbase SR5 conversion complete I guess. Threw on a few additional goodies as well.

How are you liking the shorter wheelbase? 12.3 i assume? I didn't know the frame rails were different lengths. I just bought a sport and looking for different body ideas (like everyone else).

Haven't had a chance to take it out just yet. The frame rails are the same length, I had just cut my original ones down to fit the f150/ascender cage setup.

Burned my fingers with the heat gun removing some pre glued canyons off an extra set I had.

Stretched on some 50mm wide 2.2’s for fun.

I’m not sure! Been trying to buy a chrome set for awhile now. Picked them up years ago at LHS. They since closed.

I saw someone post a pic of one once and say it was siebon racing brand.

Others told me they are Tamiya. But those seem to have two different since wheel nut holes.

Google “tamiya wheel bag” or “siebon monster truck wheels”

I found these but I’m not sure if I need fronts or rears.

If you find some please let me know!
