What did you do to your SCX24 today?

Started out for my daughter, now she going to be getting a C-10 and the Deadbolt (Brutus) has become mine. New to the game. Added HR brass diff, and HR wheel weights. Greased the shocks. Have an Emax servo, running boards and a hardtop on the way.

Really quite amazing how capable these little crawlers are.

Only issue is after one short week, my motor is dead. Ordered a couple Barrage motors, but not expected till mid February, and good luck find a stock on anywhere.

So, I was wondering if anyone who may have an extra stock or Barrage (FF-050SH) motor may be willing to part with it?

If so, please DM me with a price.

I literally just got everything kinda put away on it. Tried to make it as clean as I could.

Oh, nice! It all fits better than I was imagining!

Great job on getting it all in and making it as clean as possible!"thumbsup"

Thanks, had fun putting everything together on this one. Now it's time to test and tune time.

Bit of CAD drawing and printing, cooperation with one british guy. It will be quite interesting when all parts will be finalized.

Another newbie here doing the first round of improvements. Nothing revolutionary but it's amazing the difference these few small changes have made.

- Fender trim
- Mil-stone weights
- Hot Racing steering linkage
- Emax ES08MAII servo
- Battery/ESC re-arrange
- Bumper mount flip / Hot Racing bumper

Strongly considering going stubby Gladiator hence the tape lines. Also need to splice in some longer wire for the lights. Probably doing wheels/tires next? We'll see...

Added some ebay beadlocks wheels, treal rear counter weights and stickers.

I have the shocks as well. The springs that come with them are stiffer than the stock. That being said, it doesn’t really do anything about the damping sadly.

One of mine catches on the up travel. The other three aren’t bad.

So not real upgrade other than looking cool .

Other than ripping around in my basement on the carpet I haven't really run it with the new shocks. Need to wait for the snow to melt to get it outside on some "terrain".

I can say that the silver springs that are on it are too stiff and the rig doesn't sag at all. I'm going to swap it out with the lighter black springs that came with the shocks. I put a small dab heavy diff lube in the shocks and this has decreased the bobbing, but again that's with heavy springs. I'll let you know if it changes when I swap out to the lighter springs.

I gave the new Hot Racing shocks a little tweek. I took off the silver springs, which are too firm, and put on the lighter black springs.
I also added a dab of heavy diff grease to the inside of the shock housings and this greatly reduced the bobbing.

Went to neighboring city’s LHS, and found some new rims for my modified truck.

These are the SSD 1.0 Alum/Brass rims. The tires are RC4WD. These little rims went together really easily. Love that they used 1.5mm cap head hardware instead of the flat heads of RC4WD.

Those wheels look nice and fit the look of the body great!"thumbsup"

I've been looking for a set of nice alum wheels for my C10 and have not had any luck yet! Seems like everything is sold out for now.
