Started painting a new body.

Wrapped up the interior!

I want to thank Killerblackbird for his Freqeskins lead. The DIY fuel cell kit is awesome! Added the gauges, switches and a box for misc gear. Still waiting for the headlight system.......

Fuel cell

Finished painting the outside of the red Powerwagon body with Plastidip....there is four layers of flat black paint then four layers of black Plastidip so i am pretty sure it won't scratch down to the red.

Sorry for the dark pictures,but i looks better that way :lmao:

Bought a used DX3e thinking it'd work with an AR400 from my plane parts pile, it doesn't. Nor does it bind with the Axial AR3. Guess I'll be headed to the LHS tomorrow. I need some bits and pieces for my Losi Minis and I need a winch, too.

Got the rig together with temp wiring and servo extensions. No pics yet as its still very rough and not pretty. But I'll share a temp shot of the sway bar. I've still got to machine some spacers to lock the sway bar in place so it doesn't slide side to side, but it works perfectly. Swaybar maxes out before suspension, so still need a little fine tuning.
At rest

Full bump

Full droop

Again, wiring is a mess and will be cleaned up, just trying to get the rig sorted on where everything will go

Got a new esc installed today and got to testing it. Went from an AE2 to an AE5 that I got in a trade. With my luck I can never have too many escs in my parts box. I like the fact that it is said to be waterproof even though I do my best to stay out of deep water, but every bit helps just in case and it is rated for 3s (even though I know the ae2 CAN do 3s I would be the part of the group that it smokes first time out).

I did some driving and testing with with 2s and 3s batteries and I can't really tell the difference except that I was not doing as good with the 3s and could drive better with the 2s battery. I don't know if it is a weight thing (2s is 4200 and 3s is 2200 and loads smaller) or all mental but I didn't flip or flop as much with the larger 2s battery.

Almost done with my testing and one set screw on the driveshaft got loose so I quit early, came in and decided to clean and grease them up.

And I got a nice pic of a little flex action.

One of these days I'll post pics with a bumper but I have been too lazy to build one yet.

I made a little power splitter for my lights. I am in dire need to clean up my wiring and stuff, plus I am going to add some forward and rear body lights so this will give me the ability to use plugs on the body and easily remove the light's wiring. I un-soldered the connectors from an old Traxxas receiver and cut up the old receiver box, mounted these inside and wired them together in parallel. Works!!!

As you can see, it's a little messy under the hood. I am in the process of getting shrink tubing to hide all the connections and I am going to shorten all the wires/lengthen all the wires to get it all to fit neatly on the chassis;
