What did you do to you SCX-10 today?

built a Faux radiator for my Honcho...

it's probable the coming winch will likely make it unseen...
but I intend to mount the On/Off switch in it...
just out of sight behind the grill of the body.

think I'll just throw some paint on it and call it good.

I switched from G-Transition shocks to the Pro-Line shocks.

Hoping they will leak less..
The springs are softer so I'm using some of the stock Axial Dingo springs and the Pro-line springs.

I'm gettin close..

Replaced the screws holding the tie-rod to the knuckle with machine screws and locknuts, after tearing out one of the stock screws while navigating some rocks.

Also four-linked the front axle, using spare parts, to eliminate the slop the stock wishbone set-up had.

finished up and mounted my faux radiator...

not spending more time with it's details...
as it's hardly seen when the body is installed.
Likely not seen at all when the winch gets mounted.

I installed it most primarily to cover the void
that was left open, between the inner fender wells.

~think I may relocate it a little further rearward
when I get around to it~

......edit: adjustment......

meh... moved it rearward maybe 3/16"...
was a simple thing.

RC Rock Armor with VP CMS

I mounted the RC Rock Armor G6 front bumper using the VP CMS bracket for the SCX10, not the VP G6 Bracket. I did it by using some plastic round bar from an old HPI bumper that is the same size roundness as the Axial bumper tubes. Pictures pretty much explain the rest. This is not as strong as the stock bracket but for now will do. Once I tighten the 2 bolts, the plastic tubes expanded a bit and made for a very tight fit. Plus set screws can be used to further hold the bumper securely. I may drill the center as the bumper has a 3rd hole that could easily add extra hold.

Today - GEEKED-Just installed a Holmes Hobbies Crawlmaster Expert 13t - Yesterday BUMBED - returned my 10 day old CC Sidewinder 3, had maybe 30 minutes on it, ran perfect, went to plug it back in and "little Chernobyl"! So far its temp wired to a no name speed control just to test. Will wait for the SW3 replacement to REALLY test it.

So, I finally finished my custom Jerry cans and the mounts. Also decided to "weather" some of the accessories since I did the cans as well, :)

Well, the last couple days. Almost done with the new Chevy body. Introducing, The Rust Bucket. I'm going to get some different wheels because I'm not going to rust these out. Also added front and rear servo winches. Still have to figure out where all the scale goodies are going to go, but it's getting there. This one is getting a interior with a driver too. Taking it up a notch in scale for me.
