What did you do to you SCX-10 today?

I took it to a local place named blackrock played around for about 30 minutes before I snapped a lower control arm end link in a violent rollover. I also got some video on my action cam so when I get some spare time I'll post it. I did notice that the action cam really screws up my cog

Rebuilt my shocks tonight hoping to get some smoother movement out of them. They are the RC4WD scale shocks and they are too stiff.

Cut the top 1/4 in off the top of the springs, I saw it somewhere that it would help and it seems to be a bit smoother initially but still didn't gain any more travel out of them, the springs are 1/4 longer than they need and have to start compressing just to put the cap on. I'm still losing at least 1/2 in of travel on the shocks until I can find something softer. With no springs I have great flex and no binding anywhere.

After moving house and not using my SCX10 Jeep for about 3 months, I blew the cobwebs off, repositioned the battery, and took her for a spin... And had fun all over again.

mounted up some proline 1.9tsl swampers xl´s on some 2.2 rocksters I had laying around. Really digging hows it looks.

A little bit of cage cutting and body snipping turned my JK into the only 4dr Brute I have seen around using the stock JK Rubi body.

And the nearly completed rear stear with a cms setup. All thats left is a panhard setup which shouldnt be too hard.

Finally converted the front to 4 link. Not sure why i didn;t do that to begin with, but oh well. Also I started to rewire my lights & rebuilt my King shocks.

Some better quality pics of the finished product, I didnt do too shabby if I do say so myself..

Just received the replacement Sidewinder 3 from Castle today, great service and speedy turnaround! Wired up, with 3s and 16/87 gearing the HH Crawlmaster Expert 13t is just about perfect. Great low end, crawl to wheelie's if needed!

I ordered a dig unit and a transfer case in hopes that one of them will allow me to move stuff and fix a clearance issue

finished installing my winch into my custom bumper...
had to trim out the grille a little...
...guess I could've done a little better there.

Next up, the LED light buckets/bar assembly.

---------------------

edit:

the clearance opening on the grille
is not as bad as I'd first thought.
was mostly Sharpie marking residual.
Little clean up... and it's not too terrible to see.

Took her out to the trails and stripped out the axle. No big deal, all I did was change the screws and simple fix, eh? I also ordered some more aluminum upgrades for my old honcho that's been sitting for a while.

Think I broke it.
It makes a knocking sound when it's moving. Sounds like it's coming from the general area of the transmission.

Time to stay taking things apart...
