What did you do to you SCX-10 today?

I just added turning mirrors to my Rubicon. Also when looking at the picture I realized I must get/make plastic windshield wipers!

A very short how-to:

- First, take them off the body (obviously)
- Take a 1,5mm drill bit and drill thru the axle from the bottom up
- With a sharp hobby knife, cut it from the bottom of the short "shaft", right above the bit that comes off the body
- Take a M2x10mm screw (or longer if you have some), screw it up the bottom base and keep spinning it to strip out the threads
- Screw the mirror back on without stripping any threads on the mirror itself, of course

The mirrors won't be flopping around or anything because even when I stripped the threads on the base to allow for more free movement, it's still takes a bit of force to move the mirrors about. But the great thing is, if I roll the truck, the mirrors are now able to give and won't break off so easily.

Mounted up the 1.9 Interco TSL SX Super Swamper XL's - HUGE visual improvement over the Trepadors! wider - taller - more scale then 2.2's. Can't wait to test em outdoors. Just mounted on Axial 8 holes w/Gear Head Delrin No7 rings. Now for some chassis / ride height tweaking.

I decided to make myself a tire rack/carrier. 1/4" square cold roll, and used 4-40 screws to mount to my Rock Armor bumper. I simply drilled and tapped the bumper for the mounting holes. Tire spacer is an ol aluminum wing mount from my off road racing days from some buggy. Total cost was approx. $2.00, all hardware was from left overs in my tool box. Still needs cleaning up and paint, but this is the raw deal here.

Got a honcho cab for my Mattzilla Trugge, but had to cut & shut it, taking off the mid cab, to make it fit right.

Just got my first SCX-10 Rubicon RTR yesterday and already pulled the front steering links and replaced them with Axial units. I also noticed that mine came stock with the new Tactic 45 steering servo instead of the Axial AS-3. Is this a change across the board now? If it is, good move in my opinion, it seems to not be as "lazy" as my Wraith's AS-3.

I made me a pull point for the rear of my G6, still need to paint it.

Finally mounted a winch to the front end.

After letting the wife run the 2.2 brushless ultra4 tuber, she decided, "I like the Jeep more"

So she prefers the scx10 and likes the Honcho with Dinky bed sides, so i'll be adding another SCX10 to the fleet soon

Last night I started the most common mods. I mirrored the tranny and started relocating the battery. Need some more hardware to finish though. Next I'm going to try my hand at making some high clearance tie rods and a cms.
