What did you do to you SCX-10 today?

Talk about overkill for an esc! Those are for 1/8th scale racing and 1/10th scale 4x4 short course!
Overkill???? This is america..The land of overkill. Think about this. A lot of people do something that's hugely overkill everyday and don't even realize it...They drive a big nice car or truck to work when a small little sub compact would do the job just fine."thumbsup"Or they wear their $75.00 jeans and $50.00 T-shirt to school...Oh and don't forget their $100.00 shoes..when a pair of $15.00 jeans and a $12.00 T-shirt with a pair of $20.00 shoes will do. But yeah I agree with ya it's overkill bigtime.....lol But to me that's what makes it that much cooler....:lmao:It's like taking blown hemi V8 and shoving it into a prius.

hahahaha Tiny you said it the best I agree with you 100% Now I think i shall try to put my RX8 system on my scx10 hahahaha

So I keep hearing if you up the power or go brushless it will be a lot harder on parts.

So: what is likely/probably going to break with that much power on tap?

I'm guessing dogbones, stock lockers? Plastic driveshafts?

Just curious what will fail with lots of power.

are you coming up to Vasquez this weekend? you can check it out. I beefed up everything (hate that feeling of lugging your rig back to the car to go home early while everyone else is having fun)

No Vasquez UNLESS the Victorville comp gets rained out for Saturday. I am using my crawling time to go out for that. But with the forecasted rain they may cancel the comp in which case I would definitely go out to Vasquez.

To keep with the spirit of the thread: today I installed my gmr front c-hubs and moved my electronics box above the rear axle to make room for the battery up front man it was tight fitting the box with the dig unit. Good thing I got the mini servo or else it would not have fit...

Installed Gmade 104mm zero shocks yesterday, they feel smooth and articulate great but we'll see how this extra ride height is gonna treat my setup now. The shocks I took off were the Gmade 90mm ts01's and I am VERY pleased with those but wanted more flex so yeah. Going to test the zeros first then take it from there"thumbsup" Let me know what you guys think though"thumbsup"

I repainted the body, added the proline floorpan, made some door panels out of styrene and the bars in the back is from my old JK that I cut and modified to fit

looks better with more flex but idk if that will help out with your setup or hurt you

ok so well it really started late last night and finished this morning before work, when I got this wild idea to try and do my own CMS setup. I bought the CMS plate from level3 to do the chassis mount, but I always had bumpsteer (FYI im running a 4 link setup front and rear). I have seen people that have done it with a 3 link because I have seen and heard that with a 4 link there would be binding issues. so I had this idea to try to use my stock hardware with the exception of a a Superlift adjustable pandhard bar (trackbar) that I bought from RC4WD awhile back, I got the long one. I had been on here looking at some pics of an SCX10 that someone had done a CMS setup to, and I saw that they used the stock axle servo plate and mounted to the frame rail....so I tried that and without modifying it I was able to get my servo mounted sideways on the drivers side, and with that panhard bar it was able to reach to the right side or passenger side joint, and to my surprise bumpsteer! So to summarize this, I am now running a 4 link in the front with a chassis mounted servo setup, with no actual panhard bar tying the chassis to the axle, only using stock parts with the exception of the Superlift adjustable panhard bar/ steering link. I will try to post some pics or links to this later as I am at work right now lol
