What did you do to you SCX-10 today?

no, but she does the bills

What did I do? New motor yet again. Torquemaster 35t just didn't have the top end i wanted. So installed a Crawlmaster 13t lastnight running 56t spur and 12t pinion. Looks like i found my winning combo of low speed plus having some wheel speed

Also thanks to Al, figured out my winch issue wasn't an issue as much as me being dumb and not setting the Dual Rates on the radio for the channel 3 trim correctly. So winch is perfect now!!

lol, yeah. . . mine is fully aware of mine. But without a garage i can't wrench on a 1:1 so this is the next best thing.

She tells me last night i spend more time working on it than driving it. I agreed, but not once has it been because something is broken, i just like wrenching (even if it is with tiny wrenches now)

i got my honcho in the mail today! got to play with it for a few minutes and it was great. the speed was faster than i expected. i was cautious since i havent water proofed it yet but it was still pretty fun. did some doughnuts in the snow crawled over some bigger tree roots. tomorrow ill be able to take it out for some more trial runs.

also will be doing some easy mods on it too.

ita soo much fun!

I got my parts from RPP so that I can remove the POS slipper crutch and set it up like the original AX-10 tranny.

Well I got my Wrangler G6 in on Wednesday and got the whole truck built and body posts drilled today. I also got my order from tower for a stock axial 27t motor, universal axle shafts, and aluminum horn. I'm still waiting on the servo and I ordered today a Holmes Hobbies BRXL waterproof speedo. Now all I have to do is figure out what color to paint the G6 body, which is driving me crazy on choosing a color!

I find that to be the hardest part!

Last night I drove my G6 to a first place finish (in B class) at the Werx RC weekly comps and my boy took second in the same truck. (he's 11)

I finally stepped up to Lipo batteries, running 3s 2200mah. Ohhh ma gawd.....what a difference. To really take advantage of it, I finally adjusted the BEC so I can grab me some voltage for my servo. All is better now.

Finally got to the soldering phase of my kit build. After watching a great instructional video from Pace Worldwide, Basic Soldering Lesson 1 - "Solder & Flux" - YouTube I practiced a few times and went for it. The posts on the Tekin FX-R were difficult because of my noob skills but it all finally got done.

Next is to start my build thread.
