Made a battery tray for the Ascender K10 to fit full size batteries. It works well in my initial testing. Sturdy but light. Very easy to install. The only limitation would be the motor length. It can fit my largest battery, but it pushes on the motor wires more than I would like. So thinner batteries are best.

i'll take one please!

From what I have seen the axles come already put together. Im interested to see how much power I can put to this thing. Soon as the old tax return comes in, I need to get motor ,esc and radio, and some short soft packs. My hard shorties wont fit under that bed. I think the only thing not metal is the body. Really wanna know how their tires work. From what ive read its great without mods.

Made a 3d printed trailer. Its a bit rough to be honest, and will probably break if I take it anywhere serious. But it was fun to print. Not my design, printed from thingiverse.
Needs to be painted for sure! And new wheels and tires more than likely..

Also, I bought some cheap tires off Amazon. $25 for 4 tires. Holy crap do they stink! The smell is quite potent. They are soft enough compound, certainly not Pitbull or equivalent stickiness. 4.7in tall, compared to Ascender Swampers.

Designed and printed a drop hitch, and stole 1.7 tires from an old Exceed crawler. I think it fits better.
Still need to paint the trailer, waiting for some warmer weather.

Looks like you just bought a set of Hyrax Tires

Got the 1/16 toy truck. Like the scale details. Wish it was metal. The plastic is just junk. Tore the stock electronics out, put in a new servo, esc, rx. Quite a tight fit.

For scale reference, Ascender.

Been learning the Esprit cam software at work. Could be good could be bad lol.

Good start - the key on these wheels are the “steps” assuming this is a mag that would have shown up on say an early CJ Jeep or later Jeep Cherokees (SJ) or Wagoneer.

Yah this is all just guesses. No real measurments. Other then it is a 1.9 dia wheel. Its very rough. I still have a lot to learn to really get it dialed in. There is so many versions of the slotted mag. This is just my rough take on it

The cheap toy Crawler is getting a heart transplant. Or is it the maxstone 16 is getting a facelift??
Either way two must become one.

The maxstone axles have metal bits instead of all plastic and use 12mm hex. It'll take some work, but I think I can make them work together.
Going to 3d print shock hoops, new skid plate, cross members, battery tray, more things, more stuffs.

Few updates: Gave up on the Frankenstein build for now. Not coming together the way I had intended.

Found a cheap flashlight at Big Lots. Cannibalized it, burned one LED out trying to figure out the voltage / resistor needed.

3D printed a housing and got it all to work. Will work with 6v power now. You can't see it in the picture, but the light bar can rotate forward and back.
