The blue is definitely a gorgeous color, the fact that it's a Ford makes it even better!!!
...Although if it was a Jeep it would be even better..... :lmao:
Welp...down to 4 crawlers now. 2 for me 2 for the boy. Just traded off one of the scx10 projects I didn't finish for a losi eight. Think im all done trading lol. Come on spring!!!!
So my 7 month old son just loves to be on the move but he isn't mobile by himself yet. I thought I might build him a truck and trailer to drive him around the house to give him some variety. I made a crude trailer out of plywood and 1x3's with some small caster wheels. I needed a truck to haul the weight not just pull it. Wanted a real acting trailer so backing up and maneuvering is important. So I had an old tonka truck I knew would be up to the task of heavy hauling. I took the scx10 running gear I had in my wife's jeep and put it in this. Made up a quick subframe. No suspension, and 55t motor on 3s. Painted up the tonka truck in my family's truck colors and here's it is. He freaking loves it! I run a battery pack through it every time I use it lol. I don't have a picture of the trailer yet but it's a Small crude wood trailer that his little seat fits on.
After weighing my options for 10 II upgrades to put on my Xmas want list, I decided that I don't really want a ton of upgrades before I get to see just how capable it is straight out of the box.
So I whittled it down to:
Another 12 beers to replace the ones that spilled out of the cooler last year.
Along with the one part Axial forgot: a steel idler gear.
My wife gave us our gifts last night and said to Amber, Brandon, and I.... "I wrapped all of the gifts for the grandbabies... I'm not wrapping all this crap, here's your gifts, Merry Christmas."
So I put the gear in about 10 minutes after that. I also put a 45T motor in at the same time. LOL
I think I'm going to glue the beer in place so history doesn't repeat itself. :lmao:
Brent, I'll have to look but I think I still have some of the ice left from last time.
I added an extension to the dashboard of the Nukizer, thinking that it would be close enough to be able to attach the driver's hand to the steering wheel.
What I forgot is.....
Patrick has really short arms.... lol
Been puttering a little here and there. Got the rear axle done on Big Green, still need to do the front. Took out all the slop I had with the old axles. Just finished off the new lid , wing and tires on the Losi 8eight. Is it spring yet?
