What are you working on??

Well....it's done, mostly.
I will be running a Toyota body with a honcho rear cage and in order for that to happen I need to loose the transmission (no heart burn there..) and install the original style shock hoops. If I install the included body posts it mounts the Honcho style lid about 3/4 too far back, the posts are offset and I if I arrange them to move the body ahead (not enough though) the hoops interfere with the bed. The newer axles have the shock mount a bit closer to the axle centerline as the mount and diameter is different, this is why the hoops are further back than the original. As I was building it I was concerned about the lack of "customizing" that could be done, things are pretty locked in place but I guess when I'm done I'll have a bit of a mongrel on my hands!

I'm glad the rtr I ordered comes with the old trans. Not hearing very good things about the new one.

I'm replacing the clutch release piston/throwout bearing combo in wifey-poo's 1:1 scale Wrangler..........

Good thing it's high enough that I can get under it to work. Lol

Got some new rims for the SCX10 II kit. Surprisingly the kit shipped yesterday!
I saw Mid Sept and figured I'd have to wait another month. Guess not. Impatiently waiting now..

Ebay has a US vendor now who has these chinese wheels in stock. Alientec is the company.

Looks good Thunder. love the color. That scx is a 12.5 wheel base? Body wheels base looks a little longer. right around 13"

Didn't like the stock bumper on the scx2, so I put a dingo bumper on it. I like it much better.
