What are you working on??

Looks good rob!! Finally got my gas bottle back, going to get to work on the hilux finally!!

Since I got my 16 year old daughter Amber hooked on crawling, she decided she wanted to have a crawler of her own.
When I get one for her, she will have a body all ready for it, painted just the way she wanted it!
She did all the masking so far!!

One coat of black for the hardtop on the JK lid!

Made some more progress on the hilux today!!

That's gonna be a beast!!!

I got Amber's lid painted.
Waiting for it to cure so she can put the decals on and trim it.

So, last night I was pretty busy with the crawler.
Amber and I finished painting her JK lid and set it on my crawler for a preview!

Plus I put on the LED light bar I picked up from Aron, hooked it up on a switch, and started building a roll bar to protect it!

Welded and ground down my roll bar for the light bar.
I think I'm going to add another cross bar at the top of the windshield height in the front, and another across the bend in the rear bars.
Gonna paint it either silver or black. Undecided at this point.
But, here it is:

Got some more done on the hilux today. Just have a little more to do on the back half,a ton of grinding then paint and it will be done. I think.

Got the hilux just about done, I'm going to take it out tomorrow for a run and see what tweaks I need to make. Still have some body work and paint to finish up.

I took the hilux out for its first run yesterday, it did alright, springs were way too soft and she needs some more weight in the back. It has massive Tourque twist, gonna put 4 link front and rear ASAP. Do you guys have any other ways of cutting the torque twist down?

Had the same issue with the trail stomper. only way I got rid of it was go 4 link back and front. Tried a 2 link with the leafs . just didn't work.

Getting ready to try my luck at building a chassis. well at least the top half. Have an scx roller coming soon. found that team blue groove sells a late 70's dodge step side truck body. Thinking desert style 2 spares in the back. Some exo cage work. Keep you all posted when I get it started. Still have to get back to the slash chassis based drag car. Be a winter project I think. Really want to get at this dodge build.

Last night I made some upper links, now it's 4 link front and read. I also mirrored the transmission. Doing this greatly decreased the torque twist. Just have to change some shock springs and should be good to go.
