Started with a Honcho RTR. Made steel 4 links front and rear. Steel steering links. 1 ounce weights in each wheel. This is also my first body painting and cutting. Had to cut out the wheel wells for tire clearance. 12.5" wheelbase.
Thanks for looking.

The 2.2s might look better on the C10 crawler body as the wheel wells are much bigger. This body is under "monster trucks" on the Proline website.
Thanks for the comments.
The whole process was easier then I thought it would be.

I added a 12T Titan motor for a little more speed. It about doubles the top speed while still controllable for low speed crawling. Also made my own electronics rack on the C-frame below the battery tray. Front body posts are all the way up and I have had to do even more trimming in the front.

Crap I just painted my C10 body white, should have done it blue instead.
Nice looking truck, are you gonna do an interior?

BTW, the wheel wells are a little small on that body aren't they? I'm doing mine with about 80% droop and 4.75" MT Baja tires :)

seeing it outside changes the color completely! its like my Fiero, Camaros, and Xterra, they were all that blue, i love it!
are you going to do simple bumpers? maybe a small gloss black cage and rock sliders? I agree slightly smaller wheels would look better, but it is great the way it is too! nice work!

looks good man, just finished cutting my '80 chevy body and about to paint it, mine will be blue as well, but mine is a more metallic looking. looks great though. I am gonna put smaller tires on mine, just so I don't have to cut extra out of the wheel wells. truck looks great though.

I wanted to keep the 1.9s but didn't want to get the C10 Crawler body. The Crawler body is totally different as it has huge wheel Wells. I would like to get some bumpers but wouldn't even know where to start.

Got some beadlocks for my Slash, Epic wheels 2.2/2.2 and Switch tires. Decide to see if they would fit the SCX10 and indeed they did. They actually performed much better over the 1.9s. The tires weren't any taller but they were wider.

I like those slash tires, kinda like a badass street truck stance! You should check out DH fabrication for bumbers. The cherokee bumbers would look really mean on it! rpphobby sells them at a decent price if your not into making your own.
