Tube Chassis Cage Jig?

So I am new to the fabrication part of r/c. I have not really had a chance to do much but I cant seem to get the same straight and level bend with the 2nd piece of the tubing. I am having problems with the tubing kinking and not producing a equal smooth bend. Also having a very hard time making two identical bends when I need them. Any info or help you guys/gals can suggest?

Reason I ask is I am building a 85 Crew Cab Truggy 1.9 and a F350 Crew Cab truggy 1.9 and I wanted to try to use the same wheelbase and basically just copy the chassis to be the same and then I'd just run the chevy body on one, Ford on the other..

tape off end of tubing, fill with table salt, tape off end..

Salt, sand, whatever, it all does the same. Just empty the tubing out when done bending.

An alternate is to make a bender like bob1961 did (look in this section of the forum), cheap & easy to do. Works rather well and no need to fill the tubing (or empty it)."thumbsup"

probably got salt on the kitchen table..dont have to travel 10 extra steps to go outside.

I use a cheap Harbor Freight bender and have no issues with kinking or inconsistent bends.

Which one did you get? I was concerned about it not making a tight enough bend.
