The Best of the West: Oct. 27-28th - Wendover, NV

Uh....yeah, that's chilly! Friday has a high in the mid 40's. I'll be wearing a coat. The locals will probably be wearing shorts and sandals...

It will be different then normal with the oil and tires at that temp.

I think it was 26 deg all day when we went to Prison hill one year and it was great but, guys that run stiff set ups in normal weather were way stiff in the cold like that.

I can't wait see you guys soon!!!!

As long as it does not piss rain all day I don't care what temp it is.

Another thing to keep in mind is that we are at somewhat of a higher elevation. Meaning, the sun is pretty warm. I crawled in Wendover last week and it was high of 60* I believe. That was in a T shirt and pants. I would have been tempted to wear shorts too. Mid 50's is PERFECT!

Oh, BTW, since I am being open about what I have tried tire wise,... I tried BC's again out here and I thought they sucked more than normal. Sedona and Rover territory FO SHIZ

So off the weather subject...what's the travel distance from car to site? Just curious as it will affect the packing off supplies. Getting way too excited for this. No worries on the weather though us north westerners are setup for all degrees and make of weather.

I may have missed this, For those of us coming out on Sat. morning what time does it all start?
And will we have tech and signups? What time? Thanks.

You can drive from one end of town to the other in less than 5 minutes...And ya even manage to cross a state line in that journey :lmao:

The comp location is a short distance... "thumbsup""thumbsup"

I think he is asking how far does he need to walk when he gets out of his car when he arrives to the comp site. lol

Sorry, I know I am slacking on the times. I just have too much going on and also want to make sure I get things right before posting. I will work on a separate thread with some times.

From car to a course will not be far. It will depend on the course designers though. Could be 1 foot from where you park to 150yrds?
