Tekin Builds is my new show where I'll be building all the things and trying to make decent videos of the endeavors. My first build to be featured on the show is a Vanquish VS4-10 Origin Limited Black edition. So far it has been a fantastic build and I am really looking forward to running it this year. Episode 1 of Tekin Builds is now live, so check that out and check in here for more updates as I get the Origin put together and ready to rock!
Tekin Builds Ep.1 - Vanquish VS4-10 Origin Limited Black
Build Photos
Boxes of the good stuff. Tekin RX4, ROC412 2300kV and T-360 servo will live in the VS4-10.
Coolest kit box I have ever opened. I stared at this for an hour, it's so beautiful!
Build area setup in the studio. Commence filming and assembling!
The Origin axles are my favorite VP axle now. Something about the offset front diff and the overall scale-ness just really sets the tone for this build. Spiral cut gears, VDI universals, removable diff cover. So much yes.
The ROC412 is a powerhouse and since the sensor board is coated, ain't care about water. I don't usually drive in much but if you want to, make sure you use the included grease in the sensor ports! All sensor ports are a weak point in "waterproof" systems....because nothing is really waterproof, but we do what we can to protect those precious electronics! The transmission is dialed, it is 100% metal with hardened steel gears and HD outputs. There's no slipper clutch, so hopefully our ROC412 won't break too many parts. I usually run a slipper and probably will end up with one. (I know, I missed a sensor wire in the clip on the back of the motor...already fixed!)
T-360 servo sitting pretty in the mount. The updated chassis braces in this kit are really nice and will definitely increase frame strength. So far so good, everything has dropped right together!
