Team Carnage Crew's KOH 2010 chassis build

This rig is a work of art. How hard would it be to pull the motor/heads? I would love to get a top view shot.

Could do it pretty easy and will do when we tear them down for final welding."thumbsup"

WOW!! i like to see builds like this. But gasp Fox's and kings on the same rig?!!! Jk

NO to different cars. I am a sponsored fox racer and only run fox shoxs on my rigs. Slowrockr allready had his Kings so that is what he is going to run on his chassis. The shocks and transmissions are theonly real differances in the two chassis.

So Jason, how is mine coming along? ;)

Slowly but surely, been workin on it after work, waiting on some more stuff from the brown truck than progress will be fast. Perfection takes time. :ror: "thumbsup"

Shit he has no time to be working on your car did you see how much work needs to be done to his.:mrgreen::mrgreen:LOL

:ror: Ah they will all get done, I'll sleep when I'm dead.

Had a short day at work Wednesday and was off Friday so we got some more done. Fitted the X shock brace in the front end, it's 6 vertical plates keyed into the 2 horizontal plates. Basically a pain to get all them fitted properly but it looks kick ass. Aaron has some cool shots with the top plate off, I forgot to take a couple pics as he was tacking it all together.

Had to mill down the aluminum fairlead so she fits like a glove.

Orbital valve mount we drew up last night, along with all the upper shock tabs, pedal mounts, caliper mounts, and light mounts. We'll see how motivated the laser cutter is today so fingers crossed it'll have mounted shocks and brakes on Sunday. jamminzz

I have a friend I built a custom truck for that runs a lazer shop. So he cuts the tabs for me. I design it all in mastercam right know because my computer won't run my solid works.

Its comming along only a couple months and its time:mrgreen:

my buddy got in with his new buggy he will be the canadian there racing

Damn, you're still using v8.1.:shock:I thought I was behind the times with 9.1.

Yea I know i have a newer version just haven't installed it on my computer yet. Plus as soon as I can get a new computer i will be installing my full version of solid works. "thumbsup"

Got some more welding done today about 5 hours worth pics coming soon.

Awesome build guys"thumbsup". Some top notch fab work. It may have been asked before but what do do think the total rig weight will be when done?

Can't wait to see some vids of these running:twisted:

My old car weighed 3358, these cars are larger tubing and more of it so I'm guessing it'll be closer to 35-3600 but it's anyones guess right now. I'm not so concerned with keeping it light this time, I want this thing to be alive for years to come. I'd rather overbuild it and make it heavier, than I'll build up and stroke the motor to make up for the extra weight. "thumbsup"

Well here is what we have got done since Friday. The x brace for the front of the chassis witch the front shock mounts will mount to and I spent yesterday welding up some more tabs and brackets.
