Team Associated teasing a scale crawler!

Good find dude...I was meaning to research that.

I test the stock 48 pitch gear for 6 months on 3s and Brushless power with no Failures! that is RTR trans Gears as well as 48pitch Spur gear. when you drive our trucks you will notice how quiet it run! Precision, Quality! "thumbsup"

For sure...just a nice option to have in the back pocket is all...

I race all 1/10 AE chassis, all 48P, and no issues whatsoever.

I don't suspect there to be any problems.

Nice, buy the AE shorty pack too! :)

Yes, buy this truck. :)

It's four link, but it's one upper fore/aft link with a panhard rod. ;-)

Good. :)

Good to hear, Ascender is same, good quality plastic with good QC shouldn't need 32p gear, but nice to have the option for higher power. 8)

i saw those shorty packs and thought... huh? same as the packs we ascender folks have been running for how long? helios are $10 cheaper and have a higher C. *shrug*??

buy this truck... Nate you're getting in my head i need a foil hat now lololol

and yes 4 link i was thinking the same haha "thumbsup"

Chris and Soze, did you guys just get invited to crawl with AE?!?!:shock::shock: on your first outtings with the enduro?!?!

I have two of the Protek compacts, but a third for four different rigs isn't too many. One of my 3600 proteks probly should be retired - it's starting to puff a bit. This might be a good excuse to do that.

Yes, I would run down there, but won't have my rig, at least I doubt it.

We run into "Mike" down there all the time - was one of the test and planner guys for the Element.

I could take my Ascender and show 'em who's boss. :lmao:
It's a maybe after work...TRAFFIC

Saturday for sure...with a new rig.

"traffic"...? in OC?? no wayyy…

:lmao:

oh yeah protek is what i was thinking not helios.
the stock ascender floating tray is the same size as the short tray in the enduro, correct?
that would be a bonus.

speaking of the swappable battery trays on the endoruo, anyone know if you can run the larger tray and still have room for the inner fenders?

*is there any reason to bring an RC of any type to mile square park anymore? i haven't been there in ages and wouldn't be surprised if its gone and now condos, but that used to be THE spot for RC back in the day.

**found my answer. the RC area was converted to a golf course in 1999

I’m sure the 48P spur holds up fine but with 12 other trucks already running 32P gears, the option of cross compatibility of pinions is more important to me than the strength aspect.

Orange County, California - History

Yeah, they converted the flying field for golf, the bastids.

I just assumed the battery tray would match the ascender. That's all I've ever needed for my rigs - even run them in the TRX4.

THIS. "thumbsup"

you, sir... are not out of your element!
i feel exactly as you do.
going to try and snag an RTR as soon as i can re-alocate fun tickets to one... well how my bank works is, i have a checking account, and a savings account...:ror:

(ascender fam: does this sorta feel like what it would feel like if we got the ascender 2?)

Next year we can have a ELEMENTS ASSEMBLE at Proline!!! "thumbsup"
Remember me telling you not to get caught up in all the SSD hype! ;-) Father knows best! 8)

For the guys who are worried about the plastics...stop worrying. AE as been at this for years and knows their stuff. I get most are used to the wet noodle Axial plastic which has left many people soured. Pick up the truck in either form and enjoy. I have been using AE products since the early 90's and have always been at their top of their game.
I still run AE race buggys and trucks and have no complaints in the plastics or shocks. As you can in the picture below a lot of time and effort as been put towards me buggy and yes it does handle as good as it looks.

Associated, they make plastic that doesn’t twist and bend, they make leakproof , smooth shocks, full line of support parts out of the chute. Never could destroy my SC truck[emoji482]
Why wouldn’t I get this rig?

Hang up and Drive

I still have a RC10T2 Stadium from 1994 that I just used last Saturday, it is still going strong. If the plastic has held up for 25 years I would suspect it will hold up on their new crawler as well.

The T2 is my absolute favorite RC. I've got a real nice one that I'm keeping as a shelfer (once I get electronics & a body painted), and another that I'm going to do a T5 transmission swap in. Awesome trucks.

Was it the T2 that had the aluminum tub with the angled bottom? That’s one I wish they would do a modern repop.

im too cheap, i couldn't plunk down $400 on a kit and then still afford everything that completes it!:lmao:

try as i might to get a "really nice" aka expensive rig, i have these moments of clarity and think to myself "would i have just as much fun spending less to do the same things?" can i justify spending almost double just to drag it across some rocks?
i already have a fairly scale accurate build going on, time to just build a truck that WORKS and leave the eye candy scale stuff to the other rig.

nothing against SSD, its just a bit to steep for my pockets at this point of my life (10 year old twins and a 9 month old, about to retire from the navy... fun tickets are rare these days lol)

now as soon as i get a chance to line up my funding...
its there just gotta move things around a little. and convince my wife to trade me a couple gift cards for cash ;)

and yes, Ernie my "father in crawl":ror: you were right!!!

Yup, that's the one. It wasn't around for very long, and that tub was only used on the trucks. The buggy kept the RC10 chassis until they moved to the plastic T3/B2/B3 platform. Because of that, the T2 has nowhere near the numbers that the original RC10 & 10T had nor those of the T3.

I wrote a whole post basically saying the same thing, Chris. My pockets only run so deep for a toy truck.
I just didn't want to pee in their corn flakes over there. A lot of gushing going on... :lmao:

The "real" advantage that this platform will have, none of us have realized yet...

3rd party support

AE has strong relationships with all the major players in this space...Pro-Line, JConcepts, Exotek, Reedy...and many more others that are too numerous to list.

Just wait until all the aftermarket "goodies" start flowing i.e. bodies, wheels, tires, chassis hop-ups, tools, motors...you name it. Folks come out of the woodwork to make hop-ups for AE products.

You think of it? You want it? Someone has. or will, make it...

The aftermarket doesn't have to start doing anything.

Element/AE designed it to be compatible with a huge assortment of parts already available.

-The bumper mounts are the same spacing as Axial bumpers
-The axle splines are the same as the SCX10II so any aftermarket c-hub is compatible
-The wheels use the SLW hub bolt pattern
-The body post holes are in the same location as the SCXII
-I believe the side trays are compatible with SCXII sliders

Other companies will undoubtedly make parts for this truck but like 90% of the stuff people will change is compatible with what is already out there.
