Team Associated teasing a scale crawler!

Well... hot damn. I might have to see if I can change my pre-order up. Or just get both...

EDIT: Yeah, I think I need both...

I have been waffling on getting the RTR version because another RTR is probably the last thing I need. The kit version, however, it a no-brainer, must have purchase.

In addition to the 3 wheelbases in the box, the replacement front link set comes with 2 links that are 21 mm shorter than the RTR stock rear lowers. For only about $20 extra, you can bring the wheelbase down to 11.5. Seems like the perfect excuse to get that UMG10 body.

Yep...both. ;-)
The $240 kit is a knock-out.

SSD and VP are bleeding prospects over to this on price. FB is on fire with the Element. "thumbsup"

Sounds like this box transforms into a scale dumpster. Pretty sure I saw a photo of one built recently but I think it’s this one in back

Element is here at Team KNK TTC6 and I just caught a glimpse of the kit box. The box also transforms into the back alley outside the garage door.

Very cool! Have fun at the event. Looks like it should be a good time out there for y’all.

Meh I don't think it will have an effect. The element is just a nicer box stock scx2 and the ssd and vp are fully hopped up kits.

I don't think so...we're the minority here. The masses will buy the RTR like hotcakes.

I would rather have had any of the kits - actually bought the TRX4 one, and the VP and SSD obviously are really nice upgraded chassis. These are directed at the core enthusiasts.

Of course but these kits are not directed at the masses so I don't think they will effect the sales of the ssd and vp.

But will the kit come with the Smokey the Bear and Woodsy the Owl stickers? When I showed those to my wife she said "You're getting that one, right?"

I pre-ordered the RTR Enduro while at PLBTF and now they come out with the Builders Kit. So sent Nate a message at RPP asking if I could switch my pre-order from RTR to the kit? He sent me a $110 gift certificate for the $$ difference and switched my order to the Builders Kit. Thanks Nate and RPP!
Now I don't have to deal with selling RTR electronics, body and tires."thumbsup"

Ernie

^^Nice Ernie.
I think I'll just run my RTR, mod from there. Maybe pick up a kit too if that makes sense. "thumbsup"

A few pics from Team KNK!

How do those inner fenders look vs VS4? Mounting similar ?

Hang up and Drive

They look pretty good. They mount in a similar spot. The lines that are molded into them are there so they can be trimmed in a straight line to fit different sized bodies. I thought that was a cool idea they thought of. They feel similar to to the VS4-10 inner fender. Maybe just a tad bit thinner, but look really good.

This was spotted on FB a couple days ago. It looks awesome in person.

I just cancelled my RTR order. I have the motor already in a different truck (love it) and the kit is missing exactly the parts i would get rid of anyways. Plastic wheels, ESC, the bumpers for sure (!) and possibly the body.
Just one thing I do miss already: The INSIDE of the box. But that kit will serve my needs even better - and has an alley in the box, how cool is that!
