ProLine '73 Bronco on CR-01

 My first impression when I saw the ProLine '73 Bronco clear body was:
This is never going to fit well on the CR-01.
Then again, the Tamiya Toyota FJ body I've replaced is probably too small anyway.

But with some minor tweaking to the links...
...I think this body turned out quite well and the looks are scale.

Just some nighttime pics for the night owls out there.... "thumbsup"

I wanted to do a white body ever since I saw one here in the pics. I liked the on solid color look better but, it is a little bland. I couldn't seem to find a good explanation for highlighting panel gaps and louvers etc. I think I will still have to do so on the outside of the body. I had paint the springs, they look toy-ish.

I shortened the wheelbase by moving the rear springs forward one hole. Four-link repositioning also. Short springs. I have Tamiya bent links for front and rear but, the angle formed by shocks (Junfac Zero) and bottom links looks pretty cool. RC Channel wheels are so awesome! I loaded them with plenty of 1/2oz lead weights. Oh yeah, I also embedded some tiny bar magnets into some balsa wood, shaped two to fit the bottom of the roof and hood where the posts would go and attached with two-faced tape. Two more balsa conconctions span the body posts and are attracted to the ones fixed to the body. It's self aligning any easy to take off and put on.
