Szczerba's 2.2 XTV

I am probably not the best to explain the dual rate pistons other than they really work to control the shock movement in a more consistent manner. Really, they are overkill for a slow crawler. They could be used on a uphill rock bouncer setup, too. They were on my 2.2 U4 rig so I left them on this build. They are really meant for higher speed rigs but this rig may become my 2.2 trail rig with the right Holmes motor combo. The uptravel and droop out speeds are alot faster and provide for great handling when the shocks are really cycling fast.
I have them on my 1.9 Jeepspeed trail rig and they are perfect for that application too.

Thanks to the KCRC guys for putting on Crawlapalooza this year. As well as all the sponsors.

I had a great time at this 4 event day of crawling. Glad my rig stay together the whole day as well.
Poker Run, Speed Run/lap, scale comp courses and a hill climb.

I was able to get 1st in the hill climb and comp courses (perfect score) in the 2.2 class. I had a decent time in the speed lap but was out of the top three.
I was able to get the overall 2.2 King of Palooza hardware as well.

Truck is really working good now that I have some more wheel time on it.

Congrats! Ive never been much for Single seaters till I saw this one...... Now I wanna build one.

Great job man, I had a feeling you and this rig were gonna tear it up out there"thumbsup"

Later,

Farmer

Thanks Farmer nHave more wheel time on the rig now. It was working good. Still needs some tweaking.

Congrats Shane!

Thanks. The truck looks good and was working good.

Thanks. The 4 event day was alot of fun. Also, keeping the rig together all day and free of magic smoke was a win in itself.
The single seat 2.2 rig is a nice blend of scale and performance. Driving a rear steer 2.2 rig is alot of fun.

can I get your autograph?

Sure. I would be glad too.

Man I think I need to build me one of these rigs now lol, great job man!!

You the fab man, you made this starter chassis for me in a blazing timeframe.

Hell yeah! Killer rig man, looks like it works real well too."thumbsup"

Thanks. I am trying to keep it a versatile rig. I would say an hour plus poker run, hill climb, 3 scale comp courses and a speed run in a day is a good start.

I will probably run this rig at the Recon G6 "Hills Have Eyes" in Hot Springs, ORV in two weeks. I'll definitely gear up the Holmes BLS motor. Sitting at 8/56 now.

extra cheesy slo-mo's

I was fortunate enough to win a MORE LED light bar at Crawlapalooza this year at the Night Scale run.

It's a 2" VP bar with MORE internals.

Superbright on 3s. Just so happened the 2" bar fits perfect on my front hood panel mount. That's grear cause I am super lazy.

Great build. I enjoyed the read.

I love belly draggers. They require a different style of driving but are pretty effective.
Are you going to the Rockies for the Nat?

I will be testing and tuning for a little more belly clearance on this rebuild, as well as dropping some weight. I am pretty sure this will be my C3 rig in CO.
