Summit RC Rock Crawlers fort wayne, IN

Stopped out to Summit today for a quick test crawl. Rig works pretty good. Seems to go just about everywhere I want it to.
Issues..
1. I see that I need BTA or some sort of hybrid variation. I have an idea, do I really want to do it?
2. My tie rod ends that I fixed to make this version work may not be beefy enough for long term crawling. We'll see if it lasts the day.
3. The biggest thing holding this truck back is my lack of wheel time and "vision".

I think we'll be serving turkey tomorrow instead of bergers.:-P

Wow, what a great Comp. These things keep getting funner every time. The competition was tight and came down to the last course as some moved up and others fell back.

The only problems was those Michigan guys...

They came prepared to do battle and open up with a near perfect run on the first course by Bob, and later Tim had an equally impressive run on the 3rd course, and somehow through issues with failed dig servo and esc Lonnie managed to beat both of them for 4th for the day. Great job guys. Looking forward to the Mi. State comp."thumbsup"

On other subjects...
How was the hamBerger Brian:ror:.

Ben the Stick was very impressive for the first run, a few tweaks and wheel time and you'll be fearsome, just don't tweak too much too soon, give it time to understand the changes. At first I disliked the Shock change last week and was about to change back...but I think the Hill course would have been a lot tougher:shock:

Had a ton o fun today. The STICK worked well enough to survive another day.

I may have conflict for Saturday. Let me see what happens.

Is this breaking the plain of the finish line? The plain is clearly broken before I launch that marker 3 feet..............lmao!

I think those 2 judges had there pon-pon's blocking their view of my truck and made a bad call......was great seeing you 2 belly smacking eachother and giving big hugs after I hit that gate. I'll try to get a pic......Sincerely Brian Gordon....aka RealDeel......lol

Great Comp and competition today. Coarses were great and everybody was a blast. The best part of this Crawling is how helpfull everyone is to eachother whether its chassis or driving tips.

We will definately be working on the time factor. Things will get speeded up to allow for more bashing at the end of the day.....lol

I guess we will have to put in a scoring plate and you will start winning by one one hundreths of a second, then we will start calling you Brian Felps Deel.

We still Love you Man!

A few PM's to the powers that be and the situation has been clarified, Brian's occurrence was handled correctly, a few others caught a break with the timing but since we use gates to mark start and stop rather than a line then the gate must be cleared.

I will not be able to get rocks this Saturday. However this still can work out if Jammie, Ken, Brian can still do it. Or we can just go another day. I am still waiting on the call from Jammie to verify the rocks...

I can't do this Saturday either.

I very well might be able to make Sunday. The STICK should mechanically be better by then. It's in a few large pieces as we speak. I look forward to having another go of it.

Ben

I'm still available if it's a go. It's the only Saturday I'll have off for another 3 months or so. If not hauling rocks I'll be helping with the Dirt Oval conversion.

Also still planning on the Test and Tune Sunday.

Seth the Movie and Vids are huge, I don't have a way to get them to you so I'll pick up a CD and burn a copy, Might just put all the Vids and pics on one.

So maybe 9lbs is a little heavy for a crawler:ror:. I guess my new wheel package came out a little portly. I call them the MuMu Drop-Ds. I think I'll have to machine some cavities in them to lighten them up.

I hope my axle mounts can last one more comp. I don't have the time this week to make anything new. A lighter wheel package and safe driving should limp it home.

Ben

Me and LONNIE and QUENTIN and BOBBY III and WIFE(i think) wil be there if my ride can handle all the kids and stuff
any idea how much cause I HATE TO PAY TO PLAY WITH MY TOYS AT A ORGANIZED EVENT WITH EXTRAS!!!!

J/K LOL

SEE YA GUYS SOON
CAMP TWISTED LOOKS LIKE A ROCK QUARRY BLEW -UP "thumbsup""thumbsup"
