south central wi 2014 crawling schedule

I striped another spur in my wraith and the servo is acting funny in Brandon's wraith so I probably won't be able to make it

Pick a place bronco and I will be there Sunday morning. If anyone else wants to go they can message me or post and we will figure out how and where to meet up.

I vote someplace new I'm going to go to mirror lake tomorrow with the wife and kids and walk around I will take pics if it's worth going

I am having some issues right now but at the very least I'll take ya out in the middle of nowhere and drop ya off! I also left my good lipo plugged in and believe I fried it.

So I could take you to a couple different new places. Both have water. And more than likely way too many mosquitoes! The one I would like to try is just outside Leland called hemlock draw. I suggest we meet either in Sauk or my house which is on the way, and leave by 8 am for the trail. Oh, and by water, I mean you will have to get your shoes wet. If you don't like this idea, we can go to baxters hollow and maybe get less wet.
Anyway, let me know. Most of you have my #. Mr losi, if you want to come up this way pm me and I'll get u my # or just talk to charlie. He's got it.

Wife just said go ahead and go. So as long as the kid is OK I'm up for it. Don't have much for batteries though

You might be able to bring it back by charging it in nimh settings for a little bit and switching over to lipo I have done it with one of my lipos before

The theory behind doing that is to charge it in nimh for a very short time just to bring the voltage up enough so the charger sees at least the minimum voltage when in lipo mode. Most chargers will go to error if the pack is below a certain volt reading.

OK so baxters hollow then. From Sauk city go north on 12 to just before the bluffs, or from baraboo go to just south of the bluffs. Turn west on kings corner rd. Drive forward a few miles, then turn north on stones pocket rd. About a mile up the road, there is a gate closing the road and a small parking lot on the right. That is where we'll meet at 8 am then. See ya in the morning!

if i can get the boy out of bed...i will try.....8 is early....but, ill try....if i get there late, ill call charlie...

I can't remember if there is cell reception there but if you get there late I'll take everyone down to the stream right east of the parking lot about 200 yards or so down the hill. Probably can't see a trail through the grass though. Should have cell reception. There is a tower not too far away. Hope you and your son make it out.
I only picked 8 because its probably going to be getting more humid tomorrow and its much cooler in the mornings.

Also, I would like to plan another gtg at devils lake. There's plenty more to explore. When would be the best for a large group to plan a whole day there? Or if some wanted to camp? September?

I had a big idea this last week that is probably a dream. I don't know anything about g6 or crawling comps but I've heard people talk about some sort of competing or event. Is this something the majority is interested in? I just have to get time to make some phone calls. I enjoy the relaxed fun we've been having but wouldn't mind trying out some kind of course type event.

Well baxters hollow made for a nice relaxing morning. The scenery was less bikini than devils lake but just plain peaceful. Only saw 1 other person there with his young toddler. Got there around 8 and it was pretty nice out. Came up out of the valley around 11 something and the humidity hit like a ton of bricks as soon as you came out of the tree line! But down by the creek it was very nice.

There is a lot more to this place by the way

so for any one that could not make it we were discussing maybe doing a for fun trail comp at a later date is there any interest in people wanting to try and do a structured kind of trail run with gates and for the heck of it here is a link to the rule book lol it would be just for fun thing we may or may not keep score there is noting figured out yet as far as where when and how lol if your interested in it at all just say so and if any one has ever comped before and has any input that would be great also lol
