Time for first "Official" Scale Comp for the 2017 season !!
KCRC Scale Comp #1 @ Gia Falls.
Saturday 4/15/17

location:
Blue River & Red Bridge rd - 1/4 mile N on Blue River rd,
to Alex George lake parking /Trail head, KC Mo
watch for KCRC signs
~
1.9 & 2.2 scale classes
~
Park at the lake "Alex George parking area" - trail head across the street from the parling area,
There will be a "short trail walk" into the comp spot,
watch for the KCRC signs & mountain bikers - fallow the yellow trail markers !
~
Crawling starts at 10:15/3o am
please show up early to help set courses.
~
Bring your self something to drink & eat !
we will be ther most of the day.
~
"Weather Permitting"
if we should ge a bunch of rain before next saturday,
the event location may be moved - stay tuned !

This is one of our newest crawling spots & should be a blast !

Back from Gia Falls recon !
there is some water running & a lot of pools of water in the creek bed - but not bad - trails are dry.
a lot should drain off tonight,
A wet tire scale comp should fun !

so it's still on
for tomorrow's scale comp at Gia Falls !!

watch for the KCRC sign by the road - fallow the yellow flags into the comp site (about a two minute walk) lower trail.

i will ill be there early to set courses & won't be in the parking lot waiting for everyone to show - so make your way in as soon as you arrive.

Saturday May 6th - Gates open from 10.00am to 5.00pm

Time to get your winter projects finished & all shined up for the
Scale RC Show & Shine !!!

awards for
1st - 2ed & 3rd best 1.9 scale rigs & 2.2 scale rigs.
awards ceremony at 3.00pm

RC Swap & Shop all day.
set up your table & sale anything you may want to get rid of !

All day trail fun runs - time to enjoy some crawling & trail runs.

This has been one of our biggest events & you may want to show up early to get that good parking spot.

fire pit will be burning - bring your self something to drink & eat.

Free event & everyone welcome

looks to be a great day coming up

Gates open at 10.00am no sooner please !
& remember to drive slow & into the park.

parking should be fine - put please park close in order to make as much as we can for everyone

the trail are kind-a rough & there will be some trail maintenance/cleaning needed - extra leaf blowers needed
& there are 2 large downed trees over the trails that need to be moved - chane saw needed.

please bring your self something to;
Drink - Eat - Chair & Table - "good bug spray" !!

BE AWARE !

the up-coming weather forecast is calling for some RAIN early saturday - with this in mind,
this event may have to be rescheduled for Sunday May 21st

will be keeping a eye out on the forecasted weather for this weekend & will have more up on what day the event will be,
early this coming friday.

This saturday 7/15 - hitting the trail @ 10.00am
East Red bridge rd & Blue river rd,
1/2 mile north on Blue river rd
watch for the KCRC sign at the intersection,
park at the Alex George lake parking lot.

we hit the trail at 10.00am sharp ! - once we hit the trail & if your late - you will never find us !

good walking shoes - something cool to drink & bug spray highly recommended !
