hey Jake thanks. I've never played on the sand before was cool. got back out there today and ended up getting the truck wet hopefully it dries out ok but at this point something's not happy...LOL hopefully if anything it's just the reciever since the VXL is suposed to be water proof (I think)...lesson learned stay further away from the water because at full speed a tumbling wreck can go places you don't want...LOL

so back on track here Jake when do you think your going to have this gettogether ?

Salt water and electronics don't mix! Hope everything starts working again after it dries out (but usually it's time to replace the rx)

Early to mid March for a GTG .... The weather is keeping me from picking up some supplies needed to finish the course. Hauling a bag of cement in the rain is not a good idea!

I can't wait to get the new crawler finished so I can hit that panel too. Just a couple more finishing touches and it will be rock worthy.

Got a chance to try out the panel the other day and it is definately harder than it looks. The way Jake explained it the full coarse should be very fun with a lot of different types of obsticles. As far as what to do for the first event I think that maybe it should be a full comp setup but one that was not part of the series. Therefore it would help promote the 3 comp series and it would still give all the new guys (like myself) who have not been to a comp yet get settled in. Just my opinion

I really appreciate everyone's opinions and positive feedback. Guys have been really enjoying some play time on the one panel, getting to run the whole course will be really sweet and fun.

I'm leaning towards to a "Fun-Run" first, on a limited amount of the course so guys can get to know each other, test their rigs, get used to driving with a crowd around, etc .... I'm shooting for March 15th right now. Once I know the date is locked in, I'll have a flyer posted up!

The pics are of MTNBikeRC's rig and Nathan wheelin' the course with a 2wd drive Rustler! (He likes to be part of everything cool going on at the shop!)

On a side note: We just got in some Kreepy foam inserts.

Coming soon are those cool little teflon bushings for the R2 trani and the new VF dig system for the AX-10 trani.

And ... Losi Rock Claw tires are here!

Good spot to play @

Just checking to see if there are any crawlers in the Santa Rosa, Ca. or Sonoma County area. Also looking for information on crawling spots north of the Golden Gate.
I saw a cool spot today behind Home Depot in Santa Rosa make it that wall and you got skills!

Drumbeater: Yeah, I'd really like too! My travel time is really limited these days. Thanks for checkin' in on the thread!

RockSucker: Thanks for the tip! I'll try to get by there and take a look. Hope to see you on the 15th.

It's been kinda quiet around this thread?
Everyone ok?
Everyone getting ready for the Fun-Run on the 15th?

So far the interest at the shop is really good. We should have a few guys out wheeling and showing off their rigs! Everyone please keep in mind it will be only a small portion of the course. Just enough for fun, but not enough to give it away for the upcoming comps.

Speaking of which .... The date that works best for me is the 29th. I'm not 100% sure yet. Problem is there's another comp scheduled that day for the Nor-Cal group and I do not want to step on their toes! I know only one or two guys heading that direction, since the comp is 2+ hours away .... And, our comp is more aimed at our locals .... But, I'm still having a hard time with the conflict of schedules.

If not the 29th, it will be the 2nd weekend in April.

What do you guys think??
