Skaldiddog's "Progress"

Don't have any. They would be interesting to try but would likely still lack wicked forward bite (hop). Smooth spin is a key strength of pins. Erik's lines demanded poppy hoppy grab. Sometimes a single lug snag was what was needed to make it. Crawling is compromise, no tire is the best at everything.

J

Understood, try the blues, I hear the forward bite is nuts.

The blues grab way too hard for comp work imo (I did run blue at the AZ shootout and was one of only a few who made one of Erik's signature gates) That being said, I had so much traction that dig/burn destroyed front and rear HD gears before I even got past the first course...true story"thumbsup"

Thanks a ton Erik for taking the weekend away from your family to hang out and crawl. I had a blast. Those were some sick bounty lines and you were spot on regarding bounty climbs and pins.

I guess I was a "team" driver for the weekend:ror:.

Thanks again Erik. Looking forward to our next outing...and I'll definitely have some Bounty Shoes optimized by them.

J

I had a great time! Thanks for making the trip J!

The bounty lines are hard! Its hard to explain to people that they are no joke. None of the locals even dare to try them

Sorry man, team driver for life now! BTW, since you have your blue star, can I be on your team?

So, are you saying youre going to get some Sedonas? Rovers are not making half of these bounty lines! :flipoff: (Joel on Sedonas, that would be the day)

Blue Voodoos.

I cant wait to try mine. I think they will be "The Goods". I just need some time to mount them on (yet another) set of wheels.

I did run blue at the AZ shootout and was one of only a few who made one of Erik's signature gates

And boy.... did you handle that line! None of those NM boys could keep up! :flipoff:

Did Erik shoot any video?

I was fully charged up and ready to take a bunch of video. It just turned too chill too quick. Joel is the ideal guy to crawl with. No pressure, no competitive attitude and just out to have a good time with your best intentions in mind.

for sure, always thinking about competitive ideas but it doesn't show in his attitude. The only thing worse than an abrasive shit talking attitude, is having to be around them. Then again, we wouldn't know Joel was so cool without those folks to remind us 8)

Trust me.... we had "the talk".

"Like" button wasn't enough :)

For a guy that loves crawling, for the pure joy of crawling, as much as Joel does...it blows my mind that he hasn't started carving out a Super Rig yet.

Come on buddy. We all know you love your 2.2, but big kids need love too!

7075 Berg Transmission Cases...FINALLY!!!...with Blue Voodoos

Friend with a pool"thumbsup".

Yesterday was like Christmas. Crawler goodies arrived.

Thanks a bunch Matt for the Bluedoos. Time to do some advanced research into forward bite. This will be fun. Gotta warm up my razor blades and glue.

It only took six months or so but my machinist, on the second attempt, pulled off some amazing Berg tranny cases. They are bang on spec and are 4g lighter per case than full stock cases. Wonderful work and the mill finish is so much nicer than the tumbled look.

The side panels came out great...even the little teeth. The inside were milled instead of the outside but oh well, don't really care.

Time to tear my rig apart and get to work. Got some millin, drillin, cuttin gluein and crawlin to do.

As a owner of multiple(6) berg based rigs, those gear boxes are pretty damn awesome. DO WANT MUCH! Nice job Joel"thumbsup"

My phone might post this later but...

Those cases deserve some new tubes:ror:

Aw man c'mon...your don't like my nappy old tubes. Show me another pair of one billet one piece 7075 axles/chubs anywhere else in the world and I might consider it.:flipoff: Care to put your CNC to the test?;-)

Do you need my address?

Got it.
