found these little plastic tubs while at staples today. First thought that came to mind after i saw them...scale truck tote:ror:. Perfect for storing tow ropes, chains and small tools in

The small one (.14L) in front of a 1.9 flatiron for size reference

• Used Illustrator to type/draw out sign to size.
• Use yellow or orange construction paper trimmed down to fit my printer and printed directly on paper.
• Used laminator to coat paper (should be waterproof up to a certain extent).
• Mounted on some wood.
• And finally found some use for the Bullet hole stickers that came with the Betty.

I haven't done this yet but soon will. I was going to use regular pins associated with sowing. They have the chrome domed head just like a mounted snap. simmply drill or melt small holes in the body and insert through the cover first.Then insert through body and use epoxy,ca or hot glue to hold them.If your really good you can bend them when mounted and add glue for added strength.My two cents on scale snap buttons.

I went looking for scale winch cable and picked up some bead stringing wire at my local craft store. They sell it in lots of sizes by strand count, nylon coated or uncoated, and multiple colors. I went wiith 19 strand silver coated and got 30ft for $9. Since it's just meant for jewelery, they don't give a tensile rating but it looks pretty damn tough. I guess I'll find out soon enough!

I've got a couple
Here are a stack of wood logs that I made out of sticks. I just shortened them all to a rough size and then hot glued them. Been holding up great!

I also made these scale "skimboards" (kinda like a surf board) for my dingo body. I made them out "Elmers" wood that you can get from any craft store, then I just cut them out to size using a scroll saw then painted them with cheap dollar store paint. Then I just put on 2 layers of clear coat, then strapped them to the dingo's roof rack by using zip ties. Works well, everything has been holding up fantastic, even the cheap paint!

How bout seat belts? I'm figuring on red shoe laces or 3/8 cross woven ribbon. But I can figure out how to make decals for them or how to make a latch for a 5 point harness. Any ideas? Or anyone know where to buy them at without buying a whole seat kit?

Here's how I made a scale ignition box and sealed battery.
On the Ignition box, I started with a piece of wood that I trimmed up and shaped with my dremel. I then painted it red and scratched up some wires.

I made a outcrop on one end and painted it black. Then I use ShooGoo to hold my wires in place.

I painted the raised up portions silver, and moved on to the battery.

While that paint was drying I moved on to the battery. I started with a couple of Tamiya connectors. I sanded the connectors down smooth and shaped them with my dremel. Followed up by CA glueing them together.

Then I filled the ends up with ShooGoo and waited for it to dry.

After the glue dried I painted it yellow.

A short piece of electrical tape, and two decals later I had Mallory ignition box and a Champion offroad sealed battery.

Another little trick I used was to make some grab handles for my Wraith Jeep out of yellow shoestring and some shrink wrap. Tied the string with a piece of wrap in place, followed by some Goo.

This weekend I made some scale stuff:
A rack from an altoid container
A shovel from a paintbrush and heavy tin
A cooler from a piece of wood sculpted with a dremel and hand painted
Bungees from eleastic band and wire (need to make a couple more)
Firewood bundle from a piece of pine scrap wood
Bedroll from a t-shirt cut to size
Tow rope from nylon chord with hooks
And a Coleman keychain lantern

Hammered and filed round brass rod into nice shifter, usually use ball bearing or pin head for knob. O-rings stacked for shift boot.
