After the Samil 20 I started thinking about doing a 100. And I have been thinking about doing a 6x6 for some time.

I looked at whats available and narrowed it down to the following to start building the body around:

Axles will be HG 802 jobbies, same with the wheels. That gave me the width and a base to work on with wheel size thats 110mm.

Don’t know about gearbox and transfer case yet...

Looked at some Magirus 232 blueprints to get the cab’s scale. It sits at just under 1:11. Wheelbase will be 475mm.

Got started on the cab 2 weeks ago and it looks like a Magirus, almost.

Chopped some frame rails too. They are 775mm long.

This will be another build thats going to take very long to complete and probably get changed up along the way too.

I found some ‘snorkels’.

They come in nice and cheap abs drawer handle flavour.

Chopped them up, glued them and sanded a bit and they are almost ready to fit.
