Reworking the Super

 That dig is absolutly insane!

Great driving , Great rig , Great video !;-)

So the next logical step for me......more cells. I have quite a few of the Mcnair 4500 C's laying around and with the added voltage cappacity of the TR2's and the charging system it just makes sence. I'll start with 8. I think that will be plenty but I can go to 10 with the TR2's. Stay tuned.
I hope you know that when you go over 7 cells on the TR2, you will have to use RX packs. Go read the instruction manual carefully. A guy here used to run 8 cell & his TR2's BEC circiut fried in the middle of his run. Now he has to run a RX pack just to use the TR2, no matter how many cells.

I ran 8 on it at that comp, it worked fine, just to jumpy. I went down to 6 now, not sure how I like it, but the servos work great.

DIGGIN' up BONES

Man has this rig came along way in 9 months .

sorry Jeff I had to post this old pic ....... I had forget about it . "thumbsup"

So far for the year I am in 2nd place in the points, with a 1st, 6th and 4th place finish. A few changes......... 18.25" wheelbase and huge freakin servos, and 5 sub c recever pack, I have 7800 mah of onboard power now, no need for lead weights..............

toyforcrawlin nor-cal is having a comp this sunday at the bean.you can see some of these at this comp.

Hey Jeff, you may want to wrap some electrical tape or something around those battery wires in pic #4. Rocks like to snag those right off the cells. Been there, done that....now my cells are wrapped up.

Yes, I like the mopeds better, much better brakes. The music was Disturbed, Three Days Grace, and 12 Stones

Well I put the 755's back on and lost the rx pack the morning of the comp. It was a good idea, got me another 1st place finish. Smoked a moped pretty good on the 1st course, I got it on video. Should have that done in a day or 2, for now jusst enjoy my victory photo....

Do a little more fiddlin with my setup, right now its got 2 mamba maxs from the crawler store, cvd's alos from the crawler store with my own aluminum hexes, went with sub-'s for an rx pack and a 4000 mah 3 cell lipo from holmes hobbies, and also 2 crawlmasters. I will be switching to the new bm16's shortly. Also I changed to revo shocks, much better, the suspension is smother and more stable than with the maxx shocks, expecialy the front. This rig is about to be retired, to make way for my new rig..........The Highlander"thumbsup"

How can you retire it when it works so good? I get dibs on Copperhead then! What oil are you using in the Revo shocks? Less travel I assume?

"thumbsup"

It's the oil that came with the shocks, as for the travel its about the same, with the shorter shock it gets moved up the suspension link to get the same ride height, so it has to stroke less at the shock to get the same movement at the axle. I will probably swap to jato springs in the front, I bought some, but I can't find them........

Good greif I tore the house apart looking for these springs, they were in the trash outside.......... anyway the jato's work much better, the revo's felt good, they were just to stiff for my driving style. The fronts are 1.1 lb and the rear are .9 lb.
