I'm happy with 4.19", thankyouverymuch.... ;-)

MAYBE if I ever get a Barrage or sumpin' I'll try 1.55" wheels with these (I have a set of 1.9") 3.83"-mounted up O.D. RC4WD Interco Ground Hawg II tires and a Proline Sumo body...

That would be my T-T-T-Truck!

(True-Tiny-Tire-Truck)

(or maybe that new Charisma Ford truck body on the new Boom Racing narrow axles mentioned here: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/general-scale-talk/600704-boom-narrow-axles.html)

oh don't get me wrong i LOVE the 4.19 tires! i just don't consider them "tiny". i would say "scale" but not tiny. i want to use a set of 4.19 on my next build. we'll see how long that takes... maybe xmas?
and if you're going to re-axle the charisma, might as well do the correct driver side drop set of leafed axles from bowhouse ;) its on my wish-list! (well not leafed in front for mine for accuracy but a high-boy would need leafed fronts)

*oh and back to tires, my sons barrage has 1.55 but not 4.19. its got pitbull growlers on it (they say 4.19 but they are taller than hyrax 4.19), and its the only reason the truck was able to go EVERYWHERE at proline by the fire! seriously a barrage with growlers is AWESOME. i put ZERO monies into that truck otherwise (okay i tossed in a spare servo when the stocker fried) and the barrage just... GOES! we even ran it on 2s lipo for the event and it never melted the ESC or motor. she still runs strong today!
other than limited steering angle its a great little budget truck!

**from left to right: Ernie's power wagon, my 79 ford, Andrew's barrage, my yeti. (the last 2 are plasti-dipped on the outside. it works!!!)

Update on the transfer case...

Its good!!! Just took it out and gently tapped the forward output shaft back in place. Good as new!

Update to the update on the t case.

NOT good.
At the in laws backyard waterfall we both power up our rigs (yeah Rick is still rigless but I'm working on it!)
Andrew pulls away and the first pile of dirt stops his front wheels and his rears kept churning.
Ruh roh.
I pick it up tell him half throttle and I use my hand against the tread slowly increasing resistance and they stop with rears still going.

My suspicion using this pic from ernies thread is the front output gear inside has a loose set screw.

So basically I need to un-lazy myself and really actually blow it apart and get to work with some loctite.

For what its worth, she got an mp3 player and a mermaid comforter with tail.
Not girly at all ;)

Now I just need garage temps under 120 so I can start cutting the bed off that blazer!

I bet he's just as stoked as you Chris!

He keeps asking when can we start on it? Can we cut the bed off? When can we put the hood and grill on it?
:ror:
I'm tempted to see what I could do today but its still over 100 in the garage:x
But yes cutting off the bed will be the first order of business.
Then I need styrene from my local train shop.
