Redcat releases a kit (finally)

I didn't know the co=founder of Axial was at RC now. That is good stuff. Means they are looking at the long game.

Now that they have this kit, I imagine more will start to come out of the new and improved Taiwan Factory.

Nice, I'm happy any time I see a new kit released. Building a kit of one of the best parts of the hobby for me.

Looks like the axles are available separately as well. Also, don't know if any of you caught this, but the axles come with steel sleeves in the tubes. Also, they moved production to Taiwan. Good stuff. I think this Wendigo kit is pretty solid. I may pick one up & set it up as a brushed crawler. I'm excited to see what's next for the Gen 8 platform.

Looks to be a pretty solid kit to me. Might have to pick one up to compliment my bomber. The axle tubes are a huge bonus as well. Glad to see that Redcat is finally starting to produce their own vehicles.

Its good to see new stuff coming out in general. Red Cat just had the Gen 8 PACK on sale for $150. It seems like you see a price drop on something right before a new product is released. I picked up the Gen8 PACK a few weeks ago when the price dropped and I haven't finished setting up that rig. Most of what I want (motors and servos) are all out of stock. I am trying to be patient to see if there are any other new releases or price drops in the coming months. I am hoping I can stretch my current projects out so I don't get antsy.

I'm curious to hear more about it, but I'm still avoiding Redcat until I find a reason to give them a chance.

I do like the fact that these plastic axle housings have metal tubes inside for strength!

This kit is far better than current Axial Kits. I'm floored at the quality and universals and steel links...for under $300. The Quality is nothing like the Redcat of old. Watch out Big Boys. If they release a solid axle MT with this quality the Smt10 will be extinct.

It may already be extinct - Horizon Hobby sneak peek showed Losi-licensed Grave Digger and Son-Uva-Digger as upcoming solid axle releases...
