RedCat Fusion

I'd spend the pennies on the Fusion ... if I had any spare that is lol

The fact that they have become somewhat of a contender is impressive.

Maybe now they will give us new axles.

The fact that they chose to redesign the low rider instead is odd. That odd thing must be selling more than I can imagine.

Never considered caster adjustment...but yeah i think there is definitely room for improvement, just hope they can also keep a good price point. I will say their Mod 1 gears are kinda loud, but also stout....so i guess i can't complain too much.

The workmanship on the lowrider bodies are impressive and hope they bring that type of detail into the crawler market...they started to a little bit with the Scout 900 3-piece body. They are an interesting company with wide scope of products

i have no complaints with my redcat axles on any of my redcats or redcatlike accessories
I haven't abused mine enough to tell how good they are, but they seem decent.

I've abused plenty of other brands and put hundreds of hours on crawlers and i've had element axles shear gear teeth(thier 2-piece ring gear/spools are much better) and had RC4WD chew up gears, but i've found i just need to take extra time making sure they are shimmed just right and now i can really abuse them. One of cheapest looking and most complicated axles i've run across are from Carisma and these have really taken a beating and hold up really well. I thought the Carisma was kinda junk at 1st, but it has proven me wrong. The shape of the housing is also very good for sliding over rocks(nothing like the redcat!). For this axle need to make sure the Pinion is loctited really well onto the pinion shaft....it's a 2-piece design.

i beat the snot out of my gen8 still on the original ring and pinnion gears front and rear and there from the first run gen8 and have more run time than my other rigs and still show no signs of ware
the rear axle snapped after about 3 years and i upgraded to metal axles and its on 2.2s wheels and tires
