After nearly 4 months of gathering parts and upgrading I finally have something to show as my berg. If this thing drives as good as it looks it was well worth the wait. The specs:
VP Incision chassis
Team Br00d creep 35t r/t's
Dual Tekin FX-Rs controled with DX6
RC Innovations OTA link and Hitec HS-7950TH servo
Mann 2nd and 3rd gears
RC Axlemaster 6mm straight axles
CKRC rear lockouts
VP DH ProComps and siped Sedonas with stock foams, for now
VP Berg High clearance knuckles
Losi Crawler shocks w/ white springs
CKRC Upper Link mount, front axle only
Also planned are Super 300 CVD's whenever they are back in stock. Onto the pics

Servo in place. It now sits a little further forward to get the clearance I need.

Final chassis assembly!

Last night I also mounted up my wheels and tires to get an idea of stance, look, etc; but I forgot to snap some pics :40: Wheelbase is 12" fully raised, about 12 3/8" full droop. Electronics are next, but I still need to finalize placement. Stay tuned!

Here is my electronic tray set-up. Battery just slides right in underneath.

Ran in my clubs comp Sunday and the rig performed well, however I did not. Some more practice with the sticks is needed and hopefully I can get this rig dialed in. Also still waiting for 300s and possibly RCBros lockers

Starting to get back into the swing of things with my Berg, Motorama is a month away and I need some practice. Started of by making some motor skids from old 35mm film canisters. The rear was pretty straight forward. In the bottom picture it shows where I cut a 'tab' on the front to keep the servo arm off of the motor lead if it gets shoved back. Also got a package from SDS yesterday with my new Super 300 driveshafts. Installation to follow.

Got my 300's installed, these things are awsome. Broke them in on the drill, greased them up and ready to crawl. Now just waiting for all of this damn snow on the East Coast to melt.

Before ^ and After v Steering angles

Looks great! That steering is crazy!

I'm going to buy a Berg Tracer this summer but it's a secret. Or should I just get the axles and buy a T1E or VP chassis???
Then on comp day BAM! It'll take them by surprise. :ror:

No one has one and that's why I want it. There are a few XR10's and they are very capable. Eeek!

Newbe ?

I like that steering angle! I just picked up a used
berg and it is running the axial outers
do the 300's allow for more angle? My next problem
Would be rubbing on the traxxas big bores.

The Berg V1 and V2 are nice axles. I don't really have any experience with a Tracer style set-up, but you can't go wrong with a T1E or VP. "thumbsup"

I was also running Axial outdrives with the stock driveshafts before I got the 300's. The set-up leaves much to be desired, and I broke 3 driveshafts in 2 comps .

The RCI/300 combo is nice.

One of the Best 8)

Just a quick update. My new/used VP DH2's showed up today. Hot damn these things are the shizzz, the quality and craftsmanship coming from those guys never ceases to amaze me. I cant wait to get them mounted up
