OK Carolina guys...ordering a winch today along with a few more parts. I see the RC4WD one that everyone says is weak. Is it junk or should I hold out for a Quicksand?

Probably wishful thinking on the quicksand.

A KMS winch or one of the Integy deals would work. The 3racing and RC4WD's aren't bad either if you use a HeyOK controller.

Ive got the 3Racing winch, I actually won at a previous event. Seems to have pretty decent power, however I had to buy a HeyOK controller bc the soldered leads on the stocker broke! On the other hand, I started making some gates this afternoon. And about after 20 minutes I quit & started playing.

Most of you know Becky, Bradley, and I recently moved into a new home. I had a list of things to get done in the home prior to starting on my workshop...mostly because once I got started on it I didn't want to have to go back to working on the house every other day. In any case, last week I built the structure of my bench and drew up some plans to have the stainless tops bent up for it. I was able to pick them up Tuesday of this week and Jon (THANKS) came over to help me set them in place 8) I've always had some cobbled together version of a workbench so it's going to be GREAT to finally have something solid and EASY to clean "thumbsup"

My previous shop was approx. 24x24 and the new one is more like 24x28 so I gained some room in the area where my bench is which is nice. I need to go pick up my vise from the old house so I can get it installed here and then work on organizing the power tools on the bench. This weekend I'll be installing power strips, fluorescent work lights above the bench, some pegboard, etc. The old shop was just bare stud walls, although it did have a restroom in it, but this one is fully insulated and finished, with epoxy coated floors, and best of all...it's got AIR CONDITIONING 8)

TO DO LIST:

Wire 220v outlet for compressor
Plumb air line/fittings
Install fluorescent lights
Install power strips
Install peg board
Mount vise
Parts washer flush/refill
Pick up Oxygen tank for Oxy/Acet set
Hang banners/posters
Etc. etc. etc.

If anyone here is looking for a bench top drill press let me know. I'd like to step up to a larger floor mount version to help clear space on the bench. This one is a RYOBI and works great.

I was just milling on that same drill press last week  I have the same one and so does Craig "thumbsup" It had no problem doing some small milling of axle shafts 8)

Yeah it's a pretty good machine. It's milled down at least 2 sets of VP weights that I know of...I'm sure there's been a few other tasks like that that I'm forgetting.

The other shop had a bathroom in it many times I been in there never new that not like u could get to it anyways

Yeah I stopped using it because every time I opened the door there was typically some type of varmint in the sink or toilet

Shop looks nice Ryan.

Thanks Michael "thumbsup"

Nice! I am in the process of moving and the new place has a basement. I have already claimed it as my Man Cave lol! I am thinking workshop on one side and indoor rock garden on the other!

Another small project I've been working on the last few days after it showed up here last Friday...8)
