Looks great Bill!

Looks cool...curious though if it couldn't use more of a ramp at the leading edge to keep it from catching too hard on stones and such during the pull.

Its meant to be run in soft dirt/sand. The sharp edge helps plow when the weight moves to the front. At least thats what i have seen from other rc sled pull comps.

Ok...so you're always going to have a nice smooth surface in soft dirt and sand? Don't think so.

Check these out...

Well, i would hope that if you are competing against people doing the pull that you would create a smooth flat surface to pull on. Have someone go then scrape the surface. Thats how its done in real life, and thats how the guys have done it out west. Looks awesome!

Point taken, but at the same time at our events it's all about having fun ;). Whoever is administrating the event can do it however they want.( presents a challenge IMO) I will be there regardless. As far as the sled goes I wouldn't change anything. I seen it pulled yesterday and to me it works like a charm! ;)

Right on...wasn't saying it "had" to be changed, but seems like it would make it easier to use it at different locations without having to do nearly as much prep work. Maybe ya'll are different, but the drivers at most events I've attended or put on haven't wanted to drive 1-3 hours to spend another 1-2 hours getting the place ready to use.

I have little to no interest in running scalers, pullers, etc. so I was just offering the suggestion. No worries either way 8)

i made it based off of the pulling sleds that i use to pull when i was doing real tractor pulls back home in Ill. the wide skid with the flat front digs in more and requires less weight to carried in the box, when i tested it rocks on the surface seemed to have little affect on the sled. we will have to rake the the surface we are running on though to keep it the same

Got these in the mail yesterday from RCBros. Can't wait to fit them in with my SDS thirds! And my new axles from Dlux than I can start crawling again and making bad decisions in my own truck.

Sled worked great and can do a long or short pull. Only problem with hitting rocks is the sled will just pop right over them, making it easier to pull(we tried one run in dirt with gravel) however I don't know why there would be a rock in the course. Bill you did an awesome job of scaling down the sleds you used to pull! Should be great at that large sandy spot at the next comp!

Looks fun as hell! A lot better than the tug o war to death! lol. Like I said before bill bad ass! Can't wait to see it in person.
