I know it's a different username, but it's Cyconxc from YouTube. If you guys haven't checked out my channel please do! CyconXc - YouTube But I'm new to this forum so I thought I'd throw up my new build thread here. I’ve been building these tt’s for a few years now so I’m getting a great understanding for them now.

Since May I've been working on this BJ Baldwin replica truck, which I'm pretty much done with it now. I have a lengthy build thread for it on the Traxxas forums if you want to see that.XC's Custom Solid Axle Trophy Truck Build Thread - Page 25 It's not going anywhere; it's just time to start on a new project.

So for my next scale build I'm doing Steven Eugenio's ID Designs truck, nicknamed "Zeus". He just took overall in the SCORE Trophy Truck class for 2014 "thumbsup"

The main chassis is going to be pretty similar to the last, just a few minor changes. Now that I’ve built and driven my old truck for a while I've found a few areas I can improve. So, here's my finished wood model for the cage. After measuring it all it came up to 27 feet. Not sure if that's 100% accurate, but that's what I got. I like to have everything planned up beforehand.

I got all the Slash 4x4 front end parts ordered so I’ll post an update when that gets here. Really excited to start on a new truck!

Making quick progress. Got the chassis all cut and made some new trailing arms to go along with it. For now I'm going to be swaping the axle from the other truck.

First of all, that BJ Baldwin truck is off the chain. Mad props to you. Looking forward to this build. I think you have found a new forum you can call home!

You should look into The Yeti XL it is bigger and would hold up to the added weight also it would be something you haven't done. I whink that a rebuild is't needed. But a bigger build would set it above the others that you have seen and and done. But mostly no one has done it yet!

Thanks man, there's not many places for things like this so I figured this was the best option. I can't wait to here more input from you crawler guys!

Thanks for the idea, that's definitely something to do in the future. For now I'm keeping it 1/10 to match the other truck "thumbsup" Making a 7th-ish scale would be so awesome though.

Alright guys got most of the layout done. All the 4x4 slash parts fit perfect. I made the top links and their mounts (still need the tubing for them) Also mounted up the scte motor mount and servo from the old truck to use temporarily. Now that the chassis layout is done I'll be starting on the cage soon.

5mm is pretty close to 3/16, which is what I used on my last truck. But it's going to be the same size, keeping the 13 inch wheelbase.

Looks good man. Looking forword to more. I have read through your thread on the traxxas forum a few times excited to see this come together.
