man that looks terrible....i think you should just give up and send it my way ;)
Hey Rich! I've been meaning to email you and make sure you were still kickin!;-) I'll send it over as long as you send me the boxes of parts you have gathered for YOUR next build/builds! Hope you're doing well bud"thumbsup"

Looks awesome man! How do you like the 4WS, Im kinda still up in the air about that or a dig.
Thanks...I love the 4ws! I haven't played around with dig though so I can't compare the two. Rear steer has turned into one of my favorite mods.
Btw...your build is looking awesome!

I've been slowly installing some Christmas goodies.

I'm in the middle of doing the XR mod on the front and decided I should put a new locker in at the same time. While waiting for that to get delivered (sucks not having a good lhs!) I installed the Beef Tubes as well as Over drive HD gears.

The STRC Wraith knuckles wouldn't clear the axial wheels.

So I installed a pair of Wraith VP's.

I just got done doing my 1st XR modded axle. I thought I would include some tips, hopefully to clarify a few things for others that might search.

Here are a few things that might help:
You WILL have to cut the universals and file flat spots on them. The XR universals are longer than the stock dog bones w/ axle cups from the spot where they run on the axle housing/bearing to the end of the hub. Approx. 7.53 mm per side or 15.06mm total ( which is .590 inches). This is the half inch in increased axle width.

Here is a pic of the modified axle housing. The "boss" needs to be removed so the XR/Wraith hub will slide over it. The areas that you will cut/file into pointed ridges are the two flat spots (top and bottom) that are created when the two halves of the housing are put together. The inside of the XR/Wraith hubs are splined and this will allow you to clock the hubs.

Another thing that might help is to file the end of the universal flat before cutting it to length. This way you can use the factory flat as a guide to keep the flats parallel and consistant.

Just for FYI...this is a shot of the stock Axial locker next to a HR locker. They are within a few mm's of being the same width.

Re: Prodigal JK Project, p.6 action shots

Haha, you know it!
I finally have my boxes out of storage, just need to build garage bench and inside work bench.

Planning to redo a few things including blast and re-paint the cage.
I haven't even driven it with the XR mod on the front.

Man that sounds like me right now. New house so my hobby room and garage is still in boxes. So frustrating lol. Hope to see updates soon.

Re: Prodigal JK Project, p.6 action shots

congrats on the new house. That is what kept me away for so long...between selling, renting and building it seemed like a looooong time! (but totally worth it)
proof that it's finally unpacked

I've been having a hard time building an interior around my spur gear without having to get a transfer case and moving the motor forward, I like the way your interior turned out…Nice work.

Re: Prodigal JK Project, p.6 action shots

Thanks.
I had to mirror/flip (can't remember if i did both) my trans to gain enough room. It's tight for sure!
