Pics of your latest purchase

I normally keep exactly zero personal crap on my desk at work but I was at Harbor Freight yesterday and this seemed like a sweet upgrade for the cup that was holding all my pens and markers.

Ah, I see they've copied Kobalt. Love my little mini stack.
It is quite nice, I think I may need another one for the workbench at home.

What I have learned from the internet mini tool box collectors is the US General is the best built of all the ones out there (thicker steel, bearing drawer slides, magnetic drawer retention, etc). I wish it had the base option like the Kobalt though.

This is the exact reason I bought a US General 42" box rather than go elsewhere. Harbor Freight builds the highest quality toolboxes these days at a reasonable price.

I'm trying to find an excuse to buy an orange set of US General 42" boxes but my current boxes are still perfectly fine.
I bought red because, at the time, my favorite color was still red. And when I grew up all the toolboxes were red. Then my dad bought the orange 42" after I got my Harley and I was super jealous!

I want one of the removable top versions just for a shelf queen - that was the last vehicle my Dad had before he passed, he drove it all over St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands - you can't drive fast anywhere there!

I have a Pro-Line Sumo body already, but these days it's hard to find a chassis that it will fit - it's the discontinued 10" wheelbase version.

What about a Tamiya CCo2? Or ifs CCo1

I'd want something more scale/performance oriented than a Tamiya. I like Tamiya on-road stuff, and used to have half-a-dozen that were lost in a fire, but for the Sumo I'd have to go at least with a MST CFX/CMX or something. It's gonna sit for a while longer until I make a decision!

Went to ikea to get a laundry basket, lol, I know, it's not really worth mentioning, 20241221_174333.jpgthat, and a few small nic nacks and tid bits. However, I left with the most comfortable chair,20241221_172211.jpgand this cool project box.
20241221_172154.jpgTook a huge gamble buying the chair as the chair box dim's stated it was thiiiiiiìis huge. However,
having previously worked in logistics, fitting that into my 86 ended up working out fine, just witout the box.

Although the $100 less fabric chair was even more comfortable than the leather one, I know leather is less maintenance and will become just as comfortable over time.

H10 Optic RTR arrived today - and I got crazy lucky with shipping as almost every single upgrade came on the same day!

Proline Aztecs, SSD Ruggeds, SSD scale hardware, Vanquish foams, Meus panels and brass, a bunch of H-Tech stuff, HW 2300kv Fusion, EcoPower servo, and a handful of 3d printed items. All that I am currently waiting on are the Chinese aluminum 3rd members.

Let me know how you like it. That your first 3d stamping machine? I just looked over their site and like that K1 max one due to it being enclosed and the huge print size. I have a now ancient Ender v3 and an even older qidi x one that is in parts.

I forgot to get the bumpers for my1/6 Fj45 body so...... those got ordered.

also I decided to just order a bed, for all the scale references and the tailgate from the smaller version of the truck and I'll model it in some 3d program like fusion360 or onshape and 3d print it on my ender v3. I mean i went to school for industrial design just a couple of years ago, and gradumated, so I may as well use that part of my brain that hasn't quite burned out yet 🙃

So far I love it! It’s been printing nonstop for a few days now.

I also have an Ender 3 Pro that I bought 5 years ago. It’s been great too. Pretty much turn power on and hit print for damn near perfect prints.

The new K1C is lightning fast compared to my 3 Pro! The bed is slightly smaller, but shouldn’t be an issue.

I debated on getting a Bambu, but the more I looked into this K1C, the more I liked it.
